FirstBarkThis was our first time sending our Great Dane/Mastiff Gus to K9SF and we could not be more pleased! The daily report cards were an awesome touch and described our baby perfectly! We brought our 3 year old catahoula leopard mix to Hank for a 3 week board/train session. Luther was reactive to people, other dogs, and lacked confidence. Because of this - we didn't feel comfortable taking him for walks and were not able to board him. This made life very small for both us and Luther. During the board and train - Hank was providing consistent updates on progress. Early on we even got a video of Luther trotting along side Hank in a major home improvement store with carts/people all around. He did great - and I was impressed! The other aspect of this training was training "us" to properly handle Luther to give him the best chance for success. Giving us the tools to keep Luther moving in the right direction. We now take Luther out for walks in the neighborhood daily. Because he's so much better on his walks - it's made it easy for us to do them. There was significant progress in those 3 weeks alone. Remember that comment about Luther's issues making life "small"? We felt confident leaving Luther with Hank for boarding and allowing our first vacation away in 3 years! Thanks Hank and Nicole!!

I work at a nearby office building and see your trainers walk dogs every day. The dogs always look happy and are treated with love while also being taught new and important behaviors. It's the highlight of my and my coworkers day to see the joyful pups on our lawn or walking around the neighborhood.
Great dog trainer if you’re looking for clarity on how to handle your dog’s aggression, emotions and/or reactivity. This trainer focuses more on that rather than the simple “sit”, “stay” and “shake” commands you see at basic training. If you’re battling leash pulling or reactivity around other dogs and people… I recommend you call North Star Family K9!
