North Star Family K-9

Our husky/cattle dog mix was so head strong we didn't think it was possible that she would learn to heel. We got her back from a two week board and train and my jaw is still on the floor. She's so much more fun to take on walks and runs! I really liked the consultative approach that Milo took as he was able to pull out what we really wanted from this training. He also really took the time to understand our dog, what her personality is, and how best to train her.

I absolutely recommend working with this facility for dog training. I worked with Milo for 10 sessions over a few months for specific behavior issues, and I have seen amazing results with my Staffordshire terrier! My dog started off stubborn, dominate yet anxious, and overall very sassy. After my sessions though she is responsive, much more calm, and understands that she does not run the household. Milo was so informative when he was explaining what techniques he was using, why he was using those, as well as how a dog may interpret the techniques being taught. Sam was also an awesome helping hand throughout the training! The entire experience was so beneficial for everyone that was involved, and the results speak for themself. What people do need to understand is that the results come from hard work and CONSISTENCY. Results don’t just happen after a day. You need to be willing to work with your pet and continue to practice everything throughout your day to day routine. As I said before, I wholeheartedly recommend working with this facility!

Best thing I ever could have done for my reactive rescue dog, Zara. I can’t give them enough stars for the hard work and dedication we were shown. Milo is the best!! I honestly don’t usually take time to write reviews but I had to because I seriously recommend this place to anyone who wants to improve their relationship with their dog in any way. My dog did the board and train with Milo and he really put me at ease the whole time and I didn’t worry about her while she was gone, I knew she was in great hands. He worked very hard with me as well in follow up sessions in order to help me execute what Zara had learned. I can tell that they genuinely care about what they do and the dogs they work with. Zara does so much better when we see other dogs, and I never thought I’d be able to introduce her to another dog because of how reactive she was, but she’s now able to be in the same room with other dogs and I don’t have to worry. She also is great at basic commands which have helped us to go on better walks, car rides and just live without the stress. Thank you to K9SF and Milo, I’m so appreciative :)

We rescued our Belgian Link 2 years ago when he was 2. Sweet dog but he had never been trained and didn’t know how to channel his energy. After doing our research we landed at K9SF with Ryan and began our work with link Ryan and Milo were so knowledgeable and spent so much time helping us figure out our quirky Belgian. He still has quirks, it’s why we love him, but he’s such a better dog and us better owners for their work. We will hands down being going back for some refreshers for link and any other dogs in the future!
