Night and Day K9 Training

Harvey came home from training yesterday, and after taking him out for our first outing together today, I absolutely have to brag on Meranda and her team. The difference in Harvey after his four-week board and train is honestly Night and Day 😉. Harvey has never been a bad dog — he’s a young, energetic, strong and VERY stubborn dog. 😂 Before training, outings could be unpredictable. He might pull me toward whatever caught his attention, get overly excited and bark, or simply plant himself and decide, “Nope, I’m not moving.” I often felt like I was managing him rather than actually enjoying being out with him. Today I took him to a park, and he walked beautifully on the leash and was genuinely enjoyable to walk. Toward the end, two young boys approached and asked if they could pet him. Since this was our first outing after coming home and I’m still building my own confidence handling him, I wasn’t quite ready for that interaction yet. The boys were incredibly sweet and respectful and stayed nearby talking to me for a few minutes. A month ago, that situation would have made me incredibly nervous because I wouldn’t have known how Harvey would react. Today, he calmly sat right at my feet while I talked to them. No barking. No pulling. No lunging. He simply stayed with me and calmly watched them. I was SO proud of him. I know I still have plenty to learn on my end. Meranda spent four weeks building these skills with Harvey, and now it’s my job to be consistent and confident reinforcing what they’ve taught us. That’s something I really appreciate about their training — they didn’t just work with Harvey. They gave me the tools I need to communicate with him and continue helping him learn and grow. We’re only at the beginning of figuring out this new normal together, but watching him calmly sit at my feet today in a situation that could have looked completely different a month ago made me think, “Wow. This really worked.” I’m so grateful to Meranda and her entire team for the patience, care and work they put into my boy. What they accomplished with my stubborn, crazy Harvey in four weeks feels like a little bit of a miracle. ❤️ Thank you for giving both of us the foundation we needed.

We have 3 doodles in our house, one small and two large golden doodles. The 3rd doodle was an unexpected rescue who had accidents in the house and any time he was pet and was constantly acting out. After taking our two large dogs to Night and Day k9 training we saw significant improvements in both of their day to day behavior along with far less accidents and over time none. We had a great experience with Night & Day and have also boarded our dogs there and had a great experience as well. We are looking forward to their next stay!

Skyler at Night and Day K9 Training completely transformed our dog, Leia. When we brought her in, she struggled with severe anxiety and lacked confidence. We honestly weren't sure what to expect, but the results exceeded every expectation. Leia came home with a bright, happy personality and so much more confidence. She now knows how to place and stay for extended periods, has excellent obedience, and is able to remain calm in situations that would have overwhelmed her before. The difference in her behavior and overall quality of life has been incredible. What impressed us most wasn't just the training itself—it was the genuine care, patience, and dedication Skyler put into helping Leia succeed. It's clear that she truly understands dogs and tailors her approach to each one. We are beyond grateful for everything Skyler and the team at Night and Day K9 Training have done for Leia.

Finding Night and Day K-9 training was a huge blessing for us. We rescued a wild 6 month old GSD, named Maggie. We interviewed other trainers but Meranda was the only one who listened to and focused on our concerns. We chose the in-home training program. Since completing training, while on walks, we’ve been stopped on multiple occasions, asking if we trained Maggie or if we brought her somewhere for training. We are always happy to say she was trained by Night and Day K-9 Training!
