We did a 3 week board and train for our 2 Mini Aussies with Heather in April. Our girl Indie was extremely reactive and pulled hard on leashes. She came back heeling, correcting herself and looking at us before barking or trying to chase squirrels, and walking by the playground and pool in our neighborhood without barking. Our girl Lola has extreme anxiety and Heather worked on confidence building. She is is also heeling and they both are holding “place” while we eat in the living room and get dishes cleaned up. Overall, we met our goal of feeling like we have the foundation and tools we need to feel comfortable taking them out more public places and they’ve really seemed to learn that “no” really means no. Heather teaches you, so you can be successful when they leave. We feel like it was a very good decision to board and train with Heather. Very reasonably priced. Just in three weeks time our Kashmir has gained so much knowledge! Working with New Beginnings K9 was by far the best thing we could have done for him, and for us as dog owners! We highly recommend her to anyone who needs any dog training. In three weeks time our dog went from being the wild child to being so well behaved! We plan to continue our training with her with Kashmir and any new dog we may bring into our family.

I’ll start by saying I adopted my dog about 4 years ago. She was almost a year old at the time and was terrified with an attitude. Over the years I’ve taken her to 3 different trainers, all of which would help in their own way but didn’t seem like they fully understood Callie and why she was acting the way she was. Then we found Heather. We decided to do the lessons plan where we met once a week. I noticed instantly that Heather did things differently - she actually understood Callie. She explained why Callie was acting the way she was and gave us things to work on at home. Thanks to Heather I now have a dog that I understand, that trusts me, and whose attitude I can manage. We still have things to work on but we’ve come farther in the last 6 months than I had in 4 years. I can’t recommend Heather enough!
