Αpparently there is a character limit for this, which I exceeded. If you can afford it and deal with the brashness that is Gene’s behavior, go for it. He is very anecdotal, speaking on everything involving dog training as a kid to doing cocaine in the 80s. If that’s not for you, find somewhere else, because he has no filter. More power to him, it’s his business. My dog Ori’s behavior changed drastically, but he is sliding back instead of moving forward, despite my rigidity in maintenance. I think for what I paid at a discounted price for taking a cancellation slot, it was worth it. To me, this was a necessity albeit luxury purchase. I want my dog to have the tools to succeed and live a happy life. They are very keen on the importance of your dog learning to respect you and listen to your commands over learning silly tricks, which I agree with. It does seem like Gene is not overly fond of certain breeds, given how many comments he made on Pitbulls and GSDs. Both of which I have. Left a bad taste in my mouth, but it is what it is. I didn’t find a lot of value in the 2 Zoom lessons, but your mileage may vary. Overall, if you can afford it, go for it. For all of the research I’ve done, it was the best bang for your buck, and I appreciate what they did do for my dog Ori and me.

We are long time dog owners but it has been a long time since we had a puppy . My daughter, in response to the loss of her dog , purchased a 3 month old Scottie Puppy in September . He lived the life of a college student for the next 8 weeks ; with a loose schedule , some house breaking and with lots of attention from cute college girls and their boyfriends but not much in the way of discipline . When he arrived home with her at Thanksgiving and it became clear he was now "our" dog , my husband and I looked into our options. I investigated a number of dog training possibilities , both local ( we live in Pinehurst) and further away . New Hope Dog Training center had great reviews and I was able to speak personally to the owner about our dilemma. He felt he could help us and help our puppy Bennie ; although he warned us that a significant part of the program was training us as well . Fast forward , Bennie has completed his residential program and we have completed our 3 week commitment as well. We now have a very well behaved and happy puppy as our newest family member and we could not be happier . We were willing to invest in our puppy as we are anticipating being together for the long haul but did not want to live with the "college party animal " puppy that had arrived here at Thanksgiving . Thank you Gene and Berk . An obedient dog is truly a joy to live with !
