Nathan Woods Dog Trainer

We signed up our 4-1/2 month-old Standard Poodle for Nathan’s VIP Plan. Our pooch is now almost 7 months old and follows all the basic commands and has learned to go off leash successfully. Prior to his training, he was a leash puller and did not always obey our commands. We also like the fact that Nathan does not train using treats but rather relies on a dog’s desire to please his owner by obeying what is asked of him. We could not be happier with the results and recommend Nathan highly.

I can't recommend Nathan enough. I've worked with him over several months and his help has been so valuable since I got my first puppy and we both needed training:) He's a master with dogs and makes the training fun. I look forward to the sessions. Nathan's Loose Pooch club is also great. At first my puppy was somewhat shy. Once I started taking her to the doggie club that has all changed. My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Nathan. He really helped us bring out the best in our sweet-yet-fearful little rescue terrier, Nina. She used to pull on leash, lunge and bark aggressively at other dogs, and if you wanted her to come when you called... forget about it! At first we had some mixed feelings about using a chain collar, until he helped us understand that the sound of the chain rubbing against itself when pulled is what helps get Nina’s attention and focus her (which was so true). And we trusted him completely because he’s clearly such a dog lover and was so kind and patient with our girl. Now Nina is more confident with other dogs and a very happy camper! She’s great on leash and her recall is beyond what we ever expected. We highly recommend Nathan — he’s 100% Nina-approved. 😀

I have been working with Nathan for 10 weeks. He gave me great confidence and helped me to turn my one year old terrier rescue into a well behaved little guy. Nathan is a very experienced trainer as well as a super nice guy. I also have been using his “Loose Pooch” doggie day care and training facility. His staff is kind and efficient and my dog has been well taken care of there. I will continue to work with Nathan on training and obedience and will also continue to take my dog to the Loose Pooch on a regular basis.
