We have had a wonderful experience with Sarah of My Dog Listens! We are so glad to have made this investment in our dog. We love our French Bulldog, but we did have serious doubts that his stubborn personality, hyper-activity and anxiety issues would allow for training that would stick. After 3 weeks with Sarah, we were so impressed with his progress - he's a new man - he is eager to please, follows commands consistently - additionally, his anxiety issues seem to have greatly improved due his now learned boundaries. We can even take him out in public with us to parks, cafes, etc! Sarah was communicative throughout his stay and very thorough during pickup with us as to our own training (just as important perhaps then our dog's training! Sarah was a pleasure to work with - the experience was worth every penny, we'd highly recommend My Dog Listens!

Sarah exceeded our expectations for our GSP in the puppy board and train program. In addition to the customized training to our dog’s personality, we were really impressed with the customer service from start to finish. Sarah immediately responded to our initial request, worked around our crazy schedules and gave us regular updates on the training progress. We highly recommend My Dog Listens and we’ll be back for future training or boarding needs.

I can’t say enough good things about Sarah and Mike at My Dog Listens! Our experience with them was incredible from start to finish. If you’re thinking about getting your dog trained here, I highly recommend trusting the process. We did a 2-week board-and-train for our Coonhound Clover. It’s definitely nerve-wracking to hand over your dog to someone you don’t know, but after reading reviews and researching other trainers, we felt confident that Sarah and Mike could help us with what we couldn’t handle on our own. We knew a big part of the problem was how we were handling our dogs, so finding trainers we could trust was crucial. The moment we met Sarah, we could tell she not only had the confidence and skills to work with our dog, Clover, but she genuinely cared about her too. Clover is a smart, but very stubborn and sensitive Coonhound, and having another high-energy dog at home made things even harder. To be honest, I worried the whole time she was away—it’s natural—but ultimately, it came down to trusting the process. Sarah and Mike are such wonderful people who clearly love animals, and that helped ease my worries. The training has been worth every penny. We can finally take Clover out for walks, visit public places, and leave the house without the stress we used to feel. We're still working on things every day, but the change is undeniable. When she came back, it was like she had matured overnight. She’s still her goofy, sweet self, but now she understands boundaries. This shift has brought so much calm and structure to our home, and even our other high-energy dog is benefiting from the new dynamic. What really stands out is how Sarah and Mike didn’t just train Clover—they trained us, too. They’ve helped us understand how to communicate better with our dogs to keep the peace at home. For anyone with a soft heart like mine, I can honestly say that giving them your full trust is the best thing you can do. What I learned through this experience is that dog training isn’t just about the dogs—it’s about us, too. As cheesy as it sounds, this has been a life lesson, and we’re beyond grateful for it.
