My Clever Canine is a relationship-first dog training service led by Caz Glancy, an experienced professional dog trainer with 10+ years training Chicago dogs. Primarily serving Chicago's Northside and the near-north suburbs (Evanston, Skokie, Niles, Park Ridge, Lincolnwood, Morton Grove, Rosemont).
We specialize in reactive, fearful, and aggressive dogs, plus everyday obedience, through in-home Board & Train (your dog lives and learns in the trainer's home) and private in-home lessons.

If I could give Caz and My Clever Canine 6 stars, I would. Training with Caz has been literally TRANSFORMATIVE for my relationship with my new dog, a pittie rescue named Hazelnut. After doing several other obedience classes elsewhere, we did the two-week development program at My Clever Canine and have stayed on as regular clients for dynamic daycare and boarding. Hazelnut LOVES going to "school" each day (seriously, she's legit excited) and even my friends have noted a marked difference in her behavior, demeanor, and impulse control because of her training experience at My Clever Canine. Beyond just working with a dog, Caz is great at also working with the owner. She's helped me become much more confident and comfortable, since Hazelnut is both my first big dog and my first experience handling a dog with previous trauma. She's helped me learn how to more clearly communicate with Hazelnut and given us both a solid foundation and skillset to keep growing. Truly, it's been worth every penny and then some.

Caz is wonderful! Our dog, Kyle, was rather reactive around other dogs when we rescued him from the shelter. Caz has done great teaching him (and us). Caz also is great for advice being first time dog owners.
Kyle is now doing dynamic daycare. He gets excited every time we tell him it's time for school.

Caz is an incredible trainer that creates a unique training program for your dog. She provides videos to help with training at home and is great at breaking down the reasoning behind each step of the process. Not to mention, my dog loves working with her and has seen amazing improvements!

My Clever Canine changed our life! My boys, Smoke and Bruce, rescue pitties, sweet, cuddle bugs, lovers, playful, a bit over zealous, stubborn, meat heads, needed some work... Caz changed so much for us! The difficult moments are no longer difficult! They have learned so much and so have I! We all know how to handle stressful moments together. NIGHT AND DAY DIFFERENCE! Best decision to go and learn more on how to communicate with my pups.

Our dog Daisy was part of the first class here when Caz opened the doors. Caz did an amazing job getting Daisy to walk well on leash and have less reaction to other dogs and people. After 3 weeks she really was like a new dog.
