My BodyGuard German Shepherds

We absolutely love our puppy, Leonidas, from MyBodyGuard German Shepherds. I have owned many German Shepherds in my life and no breeder has come close to the care and attention that Julie and Marty give their animals. They treat their dogs and customers like family. We are grateful for Crystal and Leonidas gets so excited every time he sees her. We have attended puppy classes at their facility and are enrolled for one on one lessons. We also just purchased a second dog from them who we cannot wait to bring home. Thank you to everyone at My BodyGuard German Shepherds for all you do!

I was referred to My Bodyguard dog training from the rescue that I adopted my GSD from. I opted for private lessons so I could work one on one with My dog Betty. A first time GSD owner I knew Betty needed proper training and socialization. I have had the pleasure of working with Jordan who is amazing!! Betty suffered from severe dog reactivity and was very unsure of herself and others. Betty has done a complete 180 since Jordan started working with her . Betty portrays such confidence She absolutely loves Jordan and wants to please him. She has come out of her shell and is a totally different dog than the first time I brought her in for her evaluation. Jordan takes the time to work with Betty who is very eager to learn . I can actually walk past other dogs now without her lunging and barking at them which honestly I never thought would be possible. Betty has finished her first private lesson package and I will be signing up for another package with Jordan to further advance her training. She also is attending doggie daycare where she can work one on one with Jordan. I highly recommend Jordan he offers so many tips on how to handle behavior issues and is attentive to your needs as an owner as well as the dogs. He will answer any questions you have and I even feel more confident as an owner. He also sends videos of her when she spends the day at daycare to see what she accomplished during the day. Betty has excelled far more than any of my expectations in such a short period of time. I highly recommend Jordan and My Bodyguard I cannot wait to further Betty’s training with Jordan and continue to watch her excel. Thank you Jordan for the amazing job you are doing with Betty!!

Jordan did a fantastic job in training our 11 month old shepherd Titus. He’d gotten ‘bratty’ with some of the family members including some anxious aggression nipping/ biting. After the 3 week boarding (rehab) and training, Titus came home more disciplined, calmer and obedient. We are so appreciative to have our great pup back in the family thanks to some great training and re-wiring. A big thanks to My Bodyguard staff and especially to Jordan for his Kind, patient, effective and knowledgeable approach to training and teaching. Great work with our boy!

My Franky is three years, whoa! Three and a half years old. She came to me from My Bodyguard Dogs at eight weeks old. Although she is sweet and basically gentle, I have let her get by without much training. She didn’t always come on command, sometimes jump on me when excited, tease the tiny house dog with rough play, and though usually walking her was “fine” , at times she pulled or even barked like a mad fool at another dog. Usually, but not always, when I reminded her, before the other dog was near, to “leave it”, she would be fine. When she wasn’t fine, she was very difficult to control. Her three week board and train has proven to be a great help. She’s been home not even 48 hours and she is obeying almost every command, right away. I expected more rebellion, not only because she likes to push the limits but she had been gone for THREE WEEKS! Jordan worked beautifully with Franky and better than that, he is successfully training ME to be the best for her. I’m looking forward to our two follow up sessions and then to continue some sort of training at My Bodyguard Dogs. It’s good for me and Franky loves it there. I started taking my working line GSD puppy Nyx here for training at 4-5 months since I wanted to make sure as she grew up she wouldn’t be as reactive and eventually could train her to a high level of obedience. We met Eric (specialized dog trainer) and were very impressed by his love for the dogs and skill as a trainer and opted in for the 1-1 trainings. He has done such an amazing job with training nyx that she is no longer reactive towards dogs, has the independence and recall to listen to commands even with distractions, and has been able to accomplish much more than we could’ve ever imagined when it comes to obedience while still being the happy and loving puppy that she is. My body guard dogs should be proud to have such an amazing and talented trainer like Erick I wouldn't trust anyone else to train my (previously reactive) German shepherd. If you are considering doing training here I would highly recommend seeking him out no matter if you have a puppy or adult dog.
