There's a reason Mr. Dog & Sara are #1 in Maine 6? years in a row! Happy dogs that are proof positive her methods work! Positive, forcefree, classes, Sara is able to tailor her class to help each individual dog become the best they can be. I love "paying" my dog for her effort when we're working a new behaviour. Food rewards have paid off. May just earned her Canine Good Citizen Urban title from AKC and she holds 2 AKC Nosework titles.... yet she's only 14 months old! The biggest compliment I get on my dog is "boy she's a happy camper, she really enjoys working with you". Yes we make a great team... she'll win a tail-wagging contest any day of the week, because she likes to work! My dog has learned so many new skills by zoom! He's learning to "check in with me" prior to barking, when something new happens, I love it! The online aspect keeps me accountable and there's always something "new" for us to learn.

All of Sarah’s information about observation of, and approaches to, dog behavior and training is well- organized, clear, and very helpful. Most enlightening was the blending of behavior modification with “partnering” with your dog, regarding his or her interests and needs. I enthusiastically recommend her classes to people who are serious about developing a healthy and balanced relationship with their dogs.

Sara has an amazing ability to explain the dog's point of view so that you can have the best possible relationship with your dog and other dogs too. This is my first puppy and having Sara's guidance has enabled me to enjoy my dog and focus on what is really important and not worry about some of the normal growing pains and setbacks that come with all close relationships. Sara also has a keen sense of humor and makes all her classes fun and relaxing as well as informative. I am a tough grader but Sara earns an A+.
