At Mr. Dog Training I want you and your dog(s) to reach their full potential. One of the most effective ways of doing this is learning how to properly communicate with your canine companion and learning to listen to them. When pets and people aren’t speaking the same language, it can be frustrating. Just like with any good relationship, communication is key! I believe training should be fun, for both you and your dog, and that training with your dog should help create a strong, lasting relationship built on respect and trust. I take pride in providing a safe, fun, and compassionate environment to learn in.

I am bringing home a creme golden retriever on Sept 3. He will be 9 weeks. When shud i start his obedience training at your facility. Is it s once s week class? I dont work so reinforcement can be done between classes. thank you Jane B.

Thank you for contacting me and congrats on the new puppy! I offer a free drop in Puppy Preschool every Saturday morning from 10-10:30am for pups age 8-16 weeks. Puppies must have had their first round of distemper/parvo vaccine and been in your home at least 10 days prior to coming to class. As soon as your puppy meets these requirements then you are welcome to come! When you come to Puppy Preschool you'll want to bring your puppy wearing a leash and a portion of high value food (cheese, boiled chicken, hot dogs, boiled egg, or sliced turkey) to use as rewards.

We love Mr. Dog Training! Sara is a compassionate, encouraging, and knowledgeable instructor. Along with teaching practical real-world skills, she teaches how to understand and communicate with your dog. Sara meets each dog where they are on their training journey to make it a positive experience for everyone. My dog Maisie and I have taken multiple virtual and in-person classes, and I’ve noticed such a transformation in Maisie’s focus and confidence. We both have so much fun training together. I have taken multiple classes with Sara with five of my dogs. I'd always give her a five star rating. She's knowledgeable and will work individually with you as needed, customizing training to your particular dog's needs. I have taken dog training from other trainers in the past; Sara's the best!

Just finished Basic Obedience with our 17 month old Lab, Marvey. What makes Sara unique is her understanding of the dogs’ mentality and the importance of positive reinforcement for effective bonding and training. She debunks the need for the owner to become the Alpha in the relationship which I found refreshing. Given her understanding of the canine mind and her lighthearted methods, it is not surprising she repeatedly wins best trainer acclaim.
Sara is an excellent teacher and both dogs and owners enjoy the class.
