Moura Stock Dogs

We came to came to pick up our pup today from Moura Stockdogs. Maycon and Emma made us feel so welcome! Even though the day was a bit drizzly and nasty Michael took us to the round pen and let us see Favela and Joker do a little stock work. They are the sweetest, happiest dogs imaginable and, of course, it is incredible privilege to see them work first hand. We are thrilled with our puppy and we are so excited that he will come back to this wonderful ranch for boarded training in a few months. We are totally confident that we have a star stock dog in the making. 😄 Thank you, Maycon and Emma for such a good day!

I attended Maycon’s clinic in Rapid City a couple weeks back and I was thoroughly impressed. There were close to twenty dogs there and at first glance he knew exactly what they needed and how to do it. He literally straightened out their problems in minutes. I’ve been around livestock my whole life and I thought I knew it all but I obviously did not. Just the way he is around livestock was really fun to watch. Confident. Calm. He explained his method and after that I got home I sorted mother cows off of their calves without making a sound and never even lifted my arms. Amazing. My dog and I are both better and getting along better too. It would be worth it to fly across the country and go to his clinic.
