Kristen is so passionate about dogs and helping us to deal with their various behaviors. She is very gentle and professional, and truly loves what she is doing. I have to work with Foxy more because one cannot expect our fur babies to transform without additional work on our part. Kristen gave me the tools - now it is up to me to continue to work with Foxy. Kristen has a gentle approach which shows her love for our canine babies.

We've had our 2-year beagle mix, Margot, for a little over 6 months now. As a rescue with past trauma she can be quite fearful - especially of new people. After a bite incident, I knew we had to go to an expert for help. We signed up for the behavior modification package with Kelsey. It was affordable and high quality, and the results are very noticeable. Here's an example, a few months ago I attended a family event with Margot where she would be exposed to a bunch of new people. I couldn't get a dog sitter and was a nervous wreck the whole time. I was terrified that, out of fear, she would bite someone. We managed to get through the event with no bites, but there were some close calls. Both Margot and I were very stressed out the whole time. Fast forward to this past weekend - another family weekend, with a few new folks. Margot did BEAUTIFULLY. After some initial shy introductions, she was relaxed and friendly. Per Kelsey's instructions, we made sure my family gave her the space she needed to feel comfy. By the evening, she was bringing toys to various family members and begging them to play with her. The difference between these two weekends? We were equipped with the skills and confidence to better support her. Modern Dog's motto "training people for their pups," is exactly that. The problem wasn't Margot being afraid, it was that we didn't know how to help her work through that fear. Now we do. Not only is Margot a far more confident dog, but my partner and I are more confident owners. Thank you Kelsey <3

We searched for months to find the perfect training facility for our American Staffy mix puppy, Biko -- we are SO thankful we came across Modern Dog Training. We were lucky enough to have Mary as Biko's trainer in the Puppy Fundamentals class. You can imagine how crazy it can be to teach a class with 4 hyper/ADHD puppies, but Mary handled it with ease, giving each dog their own dedicated attention and making sure the owners were clear on what the next instructions were. Each week we received detailed notes on what was covered in class along with a homework assignment to prepare us for the week ahead. Biko fell in love with Ms. Mary and thanks to her, received his AKC STAR Puppy Certification! We will absolutely be back for more training in the future and will spread the word about Modern Dog Training to everyone we know! Thank you, Mary!!!
