Modern Dog Training RI LLC

The Reactive Rover class was a wonderful experience for me and my dog Mila. I never thought she would be able to attend a class because of her reactions to other dogs, but the whole process was so intentional and helped set us up for success. Our trainer Ava was patient, supportive, and met Mila where she was at each day. I really enjoyed the homework assignments and felt like we learned a lot over the course of five weeks. I already notice a huge difference in how Mila and I navigate her environment together and we are excited to keep practicing what we learned!

An exceptional training experience for my pooch Mitzie! Mitz was having trouble having her paws and face touched during grooming sessions. Kristen and team taught me and my pooch to read her body cues and how to use positive reinforcement to make her feel comfortable. We also love to rent the enrichment room for hot days or snowy times! Love the team here and grateful for what they do and how much they have taught us!

I recently had Kristen come to our house for a private training for a reactive 3 year old Boston Terrier (River) who was rehomed to us. The first few weeks we had him were extremely stressful as he would spend all day overstimulated and barking amongst other issues. But after 4 training sessions River has made tremendous improvements. As we continue to use all the training tools we continue to see improvements. My husband and I learned so much. Which is not only helpful now but will benefit us in the future as we will always have dogs in our household. I also did a scent class with Kelsey that I may have enjoyed as much as River and the best part was, I learned how exhausted dogs can be after sniffing. Will definitely implement scent games at home. Overall, it was a great experience!
