John is a special dog trainer. He was really good with our dog and it was very convenient that he was able to come to our house and train our dog in the environment that our dog is most often in. Our dog is much better with recall now than she ever was before which was a high priority for us.

Jon with Misfits dog training has been such a huge blessing to our lives. As I said to him today “he gave us our house back”. Our veteran dog, Booker, has a reactive past and dog aggression. This created a very tense home life environment for everyone. We kept our dogs separated…alternating potty trips, eating, and play time. It was exhausting. The biggest tool Jon left us with was getting our dogs on “place” and staying there until released from the space along with necessary tools for walks. I am no longer getting drug along on walks. Thank you for your time and commitment to our doggos!
Our experience has been nothing short of excellent from start to finish. We’ve completed 6 in-home sessions with John. He is personable and takes a practical approach to training. Our puppy English Bulldog and older boxer/bully mix have come so far. Highly recommend for any one looking for training at any level.

My very reactive 5 year old pit bull completed a 4-week board and train with Misfits Dog Training. To say the work this program did has changed my life with my dog would be an incredible understatement. I have worked with many trainers throughout my dog’s life, and none have had the same lasting impact on my his behavior. Not only did this program transform my dog, but it gave me the tools to understand his behavior and how to work with him to allow him to be in busy public places around people and even off leash dogs—both of which were impossible without major reactions prior to his board and train. The knowledge, experience, and care Zoe brings to her training is unmatched by anything I’ve experienced in the 5 years of owning a very reactive dog.
