FirstBarkJohn is a great trainer. He is calm and casual but assertive when he needs to be. This is the best approach for myself, my husband and our German Shepherd puppy, Scarlet. He has helped give us exercises that harness her energy into productive things and she loves training! We are super pleased with Misfits and will continue to use their services with Scarlet and soon a new puppy as well!

We have a 75lb 1 year old rescued puppy that had serious anxiety and zero impulse control. The first day we got him, he busted out of his metal crate and ate part of the bathroom door jam. Later he ate the corner of a leather sofa and part of a carpeted step. He counter surfed everything, jumped on everyone, played too rough with our pug until we had enough and called Misfits Dog Training. We did not have much hope but decided to try any way. Three weeks later, he came back to us as a different dog. He is a calm, happy dog that is a pleasure to have around! Zoe is great and even got our dog to willingly enter the dog crate with a few minutes. She kept us in the loop with his progress and provided videos. She spent time with us when she brought him back to really help us understand how to continue the training methods. Then she followed up with another appointment to see how we were doing. She answered any questions we have as well. Misfit’s Dog training is fabulous!
We had our dog Granger trained through Misfit Dog Training. They really took the time to hear us and understand what we were looking for through training. Misfit Dog Training did such a great job walking us through the process and giving us the tools we needed to be better dog owners. We are so incredible happy with our experience with Misfit Dog Training!
Misfits dog training is the only place I’ll go to train my Cane Corso dogs!! John has helped me with not just one, but two puppies. And he able to train both puppies even though they both have different temperaments. John knows what each puppy needs and how to reinforce positive behaviors. Lastly Misfits dog training is a one stop shop for dog training, boarding and nutritional advice for dogs.
