I would like to train at least one of my dogs to be a support or therapy dog. I have three I consider trainable and sweet enough to do the job, but would need more training. What do you suggest?
I would suggest scheduling a meeting to meet the dogs and discuss your options. It can get complicated and there’s a lot to consider when training a therapy dog. I do have a client who would be a good reference. She trained her own dog as a therapy dog. Let me know if you would like to talk more about this! Thanks for reaching out!

I've been working with Ross on reactive/excitment issues with my 3 1/2 yr working line dobermann. Ross is awesome. Very good insight on handling high drive dogs. Great tips and techniques. Bingo has built a great relationship with Ross as well, so its a lot of fun to see progress in 5 to 6 sessions. Love coming here!!
Bristol was in great hands. We got helpful updates, clear explanations, and real results. She came home more settled and responsive. Great training program.

We brought our 8 year old Pyrenees to MCC for the 5 week bootcamp. We were hesitant at first because of her age but we are so happy that didn't stop us from pulling the trigger. She came back so well behaved and we have been able to bring her to so many more places comfortably than we could before. She was pretty reactive and they gave us (and her) all the tools and confidence to correct the previous pain points. We will be bringing our other dog in later this year and we can't say enough good things about Ross and the whole team at MCC.

We are so grateful to have found MCC! If you need help with your dog, look no further—they are truly the best! From start to finish, the entire experience was smooth, professional, and incredibly positive. We reached out for help with our 4.5-year-old Shih Tzu/Maltese mix who struggled with high reactivity and anxiety in new situations. MCC responded right away and quickly scheduled a home visit to assess our dog and our needs. Ross was our trainer, and he was outstanding! We completed seven in-home training sessions, beginning with foundational skills and building on them each week. Ross is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and thoughtful in his approach. He paced each session perfectly—challenging our dog to grow and improve, while never making the process feel overwhelming. He also taught us how to properly use an e-collar as a training tool, and the results have been remarkable! With the right tools, clear communication, and consistent training techniques, we’ve seen an incredible transformation in our dog’s behavior! Today, it truly feels like we have a completely different dog. Not only has his obedience improved, but his overall demeanor has changed as well. He is calmer, more confident, and noticeably happier in everyday life. By our final session, we were able to walk comfortably around our neighborhood without any issues—something we never thought would be possible! We can’t thank Ross and MCC enough for what they’ve done for us. The impact has been life-changing, and we are beyond grateful!
