It is clear they have a deep understanding of dog behavior and a calm, confident approach that instantly put both us and our dog at ease. Our dog who struggled with leash reactivity, separation anxiety & basic obedience issues made amazing progress in just a few weeks. The training was positive, structured, and tailored exactly to our needs. I especially appreciated how they took the time to explain everything and gave us tools to continue the progress at home. We now have a happier dog and happier home!! I highly recommend their services to anyone looking for real results from people who truly care.

Working with Whitney was a great experience. When my boy was 6 months old, we had decided the Winston needed to be properly trained. Finding Whitney and her amazing team has been the best decision we could’ve made. It really impressed me how much WE needed trained! Winston is almost 6 years old now, and he still is the sweetest boy. Everything we learned, we have implemented in our daily lives with him & he couldn’t be more loved. Having a dog that is trained makes the entire family’s life so much more enjoyable. Even after all this time..Thank you Whitney!!

We have had an incredible experience with Milligan Valley K9 Academy! Our Australian Shepherd is reactive and anxious, and we were honestly at our wit’s end trying to help him. Working with the team here has completely changed not only his life, but ours too. We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Whitney and Dani at Milligan Valley! We brought in our two extremely stubborn dachshunds who, despite being adorable, had a real talent for ignoring every basic command, along with some aggressive tendencies. Our dogs each had different needs and Milligan Valley worked with us to make sure each dog got the proper training and care needed. In June 2023 we opted to put Skipper through the 3-week board and train program, while Captain went through the 6-week anxiety / aggression board and train rehabilitation program. It is now two years later and both the dogs have upheld their training and we are all able to thrive in our day-to-day life. Whitney and Dani were knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly professional. They used e-collar training paired with clear, consistent instruction in basic commands. What impressed us most was how well the training was tailored to our dogs' unique temperaments. The e-collar was used humanely and effectively. If you are skeptical that e-collar training can alter your dog’s personality I can assure you that is not the case! Our dogs have the exact same stubborn goofy personalities, but now we have a better means of communication, and as a result, a better relationship and lifestyle. Throughout the program, Whitney and Dani would communicate clearly and honestly regarding the progress being made and would send frequent pictures / updates. Since completing the program, we have gone back to take advantage of some of their additional services, such as structured boarding and group training events and have been equally pleased with our experiences! We’re so grateful for the team at Milligan Valley. They truly transformed our daily life with our dogs, and we highly recommend them to anyone struggling with training—especially if you think your dog is "too stubborn." Trust us, they’re not. You just need the right help!
