Mid-Michigan K9 Academy - Saginaw

I can’t speak highly enough about Mid-Michigan K9 Academy!!! I was in a heartbreaking situation with my dog being aggressive to other dogs, and MMK9A was my last hope. They completely transformed Nala into a new dog. For 14 days, they sent me two videos (each day!) that showed Nala’s progress. With every day, and every video, i got to watch my dog improve, learn new commands, and build confidence. I just got back from my follow-up appointment, and Nala was so excited to see her trainers. Nala loves the MMK9A team, and you can tell! They treated her like their own. Nala went from attacking other dogs, to a dog that looks to me before acting, listens to commands, and is able to interact with other dogs now. They changed Nala’s life, which changed my life. I will forever be thankful for what they have done for me and my girl!!!

Where do we start. My wife found Mid Michigan K-9 online. After numerous attempts with other companies, we figured we would try them as we were going on vacation and needed someone to board her and train her. We dropped her off after driving an hour and 40 minutes. After 2 weeks we went and picked her up. During her visit, they sent us numerous videos to show progression which was awesome. When picking her up, they took us back and brought her out. Michelle showed us how to work our dog, and what she learned. They even had another dog in the room and no reaction from our dog at all. Completely focused. Michelle was great! In fact the whole team was great. My dog worked with numerous team members which was awesome! We got her home and immediately noticed a huge difference. No more being very reactive to dogs or people. We have already taken her on walks and she has been tested with by seeing other dogs, people, and wildlife. Jim and his team are the best dog trainers I have ever met. Our dog is completely different in a good way. She’s a dog, and we are pack leaders. I can’t say enough. I highly recommend this company and his team. The money was well spent. But listen to what they are saying. Thank you so much for the time and effort.

I picked my reactive rescue pup up from a board and train stay this morning and I couldn’t be more pleased with the foundation that this team has created for her. Her reactivity is not cured by any means, as some of it is simply just pretty deeply imbedded into her personality, but she is SOO much more correctable than ever before. On top of that, I also feel much more correctable myself with my own behaviors that certainly were not helping the reactivity. As soon as we left the facility, we made a successful visit to petsmart, something Harley nor myself would have felt comfortable doing prior. I feel that this team set me up for success with their daily videos that modeled how to implement all commands, as well as the exit training they did with us, teaching me and being patient with answering all of my questions. These people truly care about these animals and their success and I loved watching absolutely every trainer interact with my dog through their update videos. You guys are all so appreciated!
