I spent over 2 hours on the phone with Julius from Method K9 discussing the business and marketing aspects of owning a dog training business. My ultimate goal is to have more clients and expand my training business to a facility, and I needed more guidance for this. His level of attention and detail to my needs and goals for my business during this time was incredible. He took the time to dive into my website and discuss many different aspects of my business. We went over in detail the things that were working and the things that weren’t. He doesn’t just explain to you why something isn’t work, he provides you with detailed explanations on why it’s not working and then explains what does work and why it would work better; and proves why it works better as well. Everything he explained to me made so much sense. I knew I needed to do better with my business and marketing techniques, but just needed more detail and guidance on how to do so. 5 Stars – A Standard All Trainers Should Strive For I've owned and operated a dog training company since 2019 and have spent years immersing myself in the study of dog psychology, physiology, and behavior. If it's been written about dog training, chances are I’ve read it. But nothing I’ve encountered has been as thorough, practical, and eye-opening as what Stephanie teaches in the Method K9 certification course. To be transparent, I didn't go to school for animal behavior—I studied natural resource conservation, but these days, "educated" means something different to everyone. My professional experience with the formally educated trainers I've encountered hasn't been great, and I've often been dismissed for using tools like prong collars or e-collars, despite everything in our programs being built on a foundation of food-based training. That criticism made me question whether I was "qualified," even as I saw consistent results with clients. So I dove into shadow programs, seminars, and courses specifically for trainers—and none have come close to the clarity and depth offered by Method K9. I'll admit, I initially struggled through the beginning of Level 1. Watching someone re-teach things I already thought I knew—like how to lure a dog into position—was humbling. But I stuck with it. I rewatched several of the early lessons, and once I saw those concepts come to life in later videos with real dogs, everything clicked—even for someone who's been training professionally for years. The Method K9 program is what I believe should be the industry standard for how trainers are taught. Stephanie’s clarity, structure, and communication are unmatched. Even if you don’t use tools like prong or remote collars, this course still offers a wealth of information that will improve your training. I’ve used those tools from the start, but even I'm learning refinements that have already improved how I train and communicate with dogs AND their owners, which is a huge component to success. Transparency is what builds trust. The information needed to make the decision to choose Method K9 is so clearly spelled out through their social media, their website, and their reviews. I wish more trainers were as transparent as this. There are no secrets to dog training. They even have a wealth of free videos on YouTube that are so incredibly helpful which is how I found the program to begin with. I’m still making my way through the Level 1 certification, but I’m already counting down the days until I can dive into Level 2 and eventually attend in-person training. I work with dogs other trainers give up on—but that doesn’t mean I’m done learning. Method K9 is making me better, and I’m grateful for that. As a trainer, I see other trainers critiquing their colleagues' videos instead of encouraging them and building them up. Instead of joining in on the rivalry, I'm choosing to further educate myself. We should always be striving to learn more. This course is great for trainers new and old. So much so that I paused one of the videos to stop and write this review in hopes that other trainers on the fence about signing up would take the leap.

Life changing. In the best way. We adopted our boy Zuko at 2 years old. We were told he needed a home that would not crate him all day because his previous owner had kept him in a crate and drugged him to keep him quiet during the day. We were his 7th home after he was taken from that owner. We were told that he was great with other dogs. We later discovered that he was reactive and aggressive towards dogs, people, anything that moved. Fast forward 4 years and we are basically prisoners in our own home, we didn’t take him out of the yard and didn’t let people come visit for everyone’s safety. By then he had bit our landlord, our best friend and our neighbor and attempted to bite many others. He was reactive towards cars and bikes and people passing by, so much so that we covered our beautiful windows and got grow lights for the plants. Then we found Method K9 and all of our LIVES CHANGED! Hope did her thing and gave us hope that we could live the life we wanted with our boy. We were finally (after several training programs and experts promising they had the answers) given the tools to help our boy feel calm and safe. If you have a reactive dog, you probably experienced them waking up first thing in the morning already at a level 7 or 8 and it only goes up from there. We could barely pet him, couldn’t safely brush him and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. 4 months after working with Hope in the Method K9 8 week program, I can confidently say he wakes up at a zero on the reactivity scale and stays there during the day. He is a much happier and more balanced dog and we have a happier, safer household. We take him places we never thought we could like the coffee shop and hardware store. HE CAN CALMLY RIDE IN THE CAR! We are looking forward to more adventures like camping and hiking when the weather clears. What I can’t express enough is how important and thorough the tools are. The videos set us up for success when he came home. This is not magic (though it feels like it!) and as Stephanie says, he is still an alcoholic. It involves work and dedication but you are given the tools you need to continue the training at home. Hope is there to cheer you on and provide guidance when the training is over and the real work begins. Method K9 changed our lives and most importantly, changed his life. Our boy is balanced and calm and very obviously happy and it makes my heart sing. Thank you Hope and Method K9! 10/10 would recommend!
