Whether for obedience or gun dog training, I would read this and not make the same mistake I did. I couldn't find any negative reviews on this place, the price was reasonable, it wasn't too far from my house, and the facility didn't look too bad at all (at first), but be advised DO NOT bring your animal to this place. (Everything I'm saying is not embellished or exaggerated to make this place look worse than it is, it truly isn't a good place for an animal) I'll start with the facilities and go from there As you arrive you'll be brought back to the "facilities" which claim to have air, but there is no flowing air just misters. This is where you'll see where your dog will be eating (who knows how little), sleeping, and sitting for hours on end. It's a fair sized cage in a big row next to other dogs with moist dirt on the ground from the misters and a water barrel with a hole cut in it at the far back used as a crate. (Essentially, your animal is sitting in a moist, hot, simi-cramped cage, cesspool (it's own waste) for hours, because I'm sure no one is out there every hour to clean up all the waste right when it happens) Next we have the actual training, now I sent my animal to Roger for gun dog training. Roger said that he needs to start my dog on obedience first so that he can trust him in the field and start his training for the birds which made sense. Roger did seem to know what he was talking about and that's where I felt his methods must be a common effective way of training and I didn't question it much until my girlfriend and I went to pick him up and roger was going over the commands the dog was taught. Rogers methods of "correcting" the dog include whipping his rear end with a horse whip (not just once at a time), whipping with the back of the leash, wrenching his neck which a choke chain and this is just what my girlfriend and I saw in a 15-20 min period of time. I couldn't imagine what Roger did with a shock collar. Now I do agree that a dog should obey your command above all else and a certain level of correction is needed to be made, however I don't baby my animal when I comes to corrections, but the level of correction Roger used was enough to have my girlfriend biting her tongue before she said something and also enough to have my dogs tail between its legs and cringed over and shaking at the site of Roger. My dog without a doubt feared Roger and also feared being next to or near him. I don't believe training an animal requires that amount of fear to the point your animal is almost peeing itself when you come near it. Not only did my dog now have fear instilled in him he was also 6-8 pounds lighter than he was when I brought him in. I could see his whole spine and everyone of his ribs. They either feed the animals the bare minimum or my dog wasn't eating. My dog looked sick. But once I got him home he was so hungry he ate 2 cups of dog food so fast he threw it up. Even my dad asked if they were feeding him enough just from the site of him. To top it off as Roger hands over my Dog and I'm laying blankets in the back of my car for the pup to stand on, I tell the pup to hop in and he's timid about it at first because it's a fiat and back is pretty small to hop into, but without even give the animal a second chance to hop in by himself Roger grabs his scruff and skin by his tail and throws him in the back of the car. That was the point when I realized this is borderline abuse, not animal training. 500 dollars is not worth anything your dog will every get out of Rogers program. If your lucky your dog will just have physical short term damage and not longterm emotional damage. I had to write this review to spare other dog owners. There is literally nothing else on this facility besides what Roger says on his own website and if I would have read a review like this I know I wouldn't have gone here. So be very cautious when it comes to picking your dogs facility I encourage really really putting in the research and not doing as I did.
