Mayday Retrievers - Arizona Dog Training

I wish i would of done my research before hand and not relied on word of mouth by a fb group. Roger seemed really nice and knowledgable and did not expect my dog to come back in the condition he did after only being there for 3 full days while being boarded while we were out of town. He is a 8 month old pup and was still learning so granted he didn't listen 100% of the time but he was well on his way to it. He undid EVERYTHING we worked hard at training him to did. He will not listen to anything you tell him now. I also suspect he barked the entire time he was there, so much so he was hoarse when we picked up up and the first few days afterwards. He also has not stopped barking since, which isn't something he did prior to being there. Also found what looks like a pretty decent sized bite mark on him. We were told he would only be allowed around his dogs and only if he thought my puppy could handle it. I was never informed he was around them yet alone got bit by one. I get dogs can be dogs but we should of been informed, especially if an infection developed and was the other dog vaccinated? He also came home smelling worse than a barnyard, which tells me those kennels are NOT clean. He did not smell like a dirty dog, he smelled like pure poop. Not impressed with this place and would not ever recommend anyone take their dogs there if they truly love their animal.

Based on a local recommendation on Nextdoor for Pine/Strawberry, I contacted Roger on Monday to snake train my dog. He was nice enough to accommodate us by training my dog 1:1 this morning (2 days after I called). We met at his residence and he went through the details of explaining the snake training process and asked relevant questions pertaining to our dogs demeanor and tendencies. It took my dog longer than we anticipated to respond to the snake but Roger was very patient and thorough. The cost for the training was $80 with a free retrain in the Spring. Highly recommend!
