Mattox Dog Training Academy

Total disappointment and anger!! My happy go lucky, healthy German Shepherd went there for obedience. On pickup day, I hardly recognized her. So skinny and lackluster in appearance. Chance showed me her heal, down, walking on raised objects, things I had taught her before I left her there, but when I felt her spine-it was so rivet like than was like dull skin over bone. Her neck had bumps, later found them to be bite scabs. Her feathered fur was gone, cut down all over short. I was in shock. This training cost me money I didn't have and in the 2 months they had her, I was not happy with any results. At Home she immediately ran to backyard and pooped runny--- and that still is going on 2 weeks later. Finally getting her to the vet she has severe Giardia. Dr put her on 2 meds, injectable paste and pills for her gut.. and she was down 14 lbs from what she was end of July on drop to them. Vet said she was too skinny. Skin on bones-- took me a week of feeding her chicken and rice 3 X day to get her eyes bright and fur decent and a bit of energy back. Took her a good months to have energy and not poop 5 times a day. My vet and groomer were shocked at how bad she looked and lethargic she was .. NOT a clean environment for healthy dogs as mine was before admittance. I totally will NOT recommend this training or boarding facility to anyone. Their negligence cost me over $500 so far in vet stool checks and appointments. She still has a ways to go to be the best friend I dropped off there the end of July in good faith that she would come back a better in OB .....she will be as I help get her back to normal. If you love your dog, don't leave them there with Mary Mattox, Chance ,Randall and whoever else that would allow dog fights, starvation and just overall mistreatment of a dog. Total deception to what they would work on and what they didn't accomplish. Totally inept so called trainers and a waste of money.

What can I say other than, AMAZING. Mary and Chance are absolutely the best dog trainers I have ever had the pleasure to meet. From the moment I walked in, I knew my dog was in good hands. Their facility is clean, spacious, and filled with a positive atmosphere. They take the time to understand each dog's unique personality and tailor their training accordingly. My dog made incredible progress—obedience, social skills, you name it. The dedication, knowledge, and care that Mary and Chance put into their work are truly unmatched. I couldn't be happier with the results, and I highly recommend their services to anyone looking for skilled, compassionate trainers!
