Matan Dog Training

Matan saved our home, our relationship, and our dogs. Best money we've ever spent. We recently rescued two 9-month old cattle dog sisters. We did NOT know what we were getting into, they ran our house and we could not get them to listen to anything we said. They were also very leash reactive to other dogs. They were so reactive we had to take them on separate walks, which was difficult. We had an in person consultation with Matan and he explained that two sisters is very difficult because they have bonded with each other, and will struggle with human connection/ bonding/ training. We immediately agreed to 2 weeks of boarding/ training for both of them. OH MY GOODNESS ARE THEY DIFFERENT DOGS! They now know commands, listen, and are manageable. We have the sweetest dogs but they needed a lot of care & training, and Matan (and his team!) really followed through. We had 2 training sessions (one during and one after the boarding) with the dogs and Matan to learn the commands and skills to handle the most common situations (when they get leash reactive, when they jump on humans, when they need to sit still while you work, etc.). The training really helped us as a family use a common language with our dogs to build consistency, and keep up the training when they are home. We love our dogs, and Matan really helped us bond, connect, and build a better life as a doggy family.

Matan Dog Training is the absolute best. I would highly recommend Matan and his team if you are looking to get your dog trained. I have two mixed breed dogs that my family saved at the beginning of quarantine. They have lots of energy and lots of fun but needed some guidance. One of the puppies wouldn't let us leave the house without trying to escape and one of the puppies completely stopped walking with me and became obsessed with his ball. I was lost and did not know what to do. I was nervous to have people over because the dogs were big and I didnt want them to jump on anyone. I was very fortunate to have found Matan. Matan is a true magician. My dogs were at Matan’s for three weeks (which was difficult for my family), but during their time at Matan’s we received pictures and updates with our dogs and their progress. We also met with Matan during their training to learn the correct ques and commands that would set the dogs up for success. When we went to Matan’s I was worried the dogs would be sad when we left but you could tell they were incredibly happy to return back to training with Matan. His property is amazing, his staff from the dog trainers to the office staff were friendly and you could tell they absolutely LOVE your dog. We just got them back from Matan’s and I already noticed a huge difference. They came back different dogs. The issues we were having before they left have definitely subsided, and now if old habits arise we know how to correct them. It really has been a huge difference and I am sad that I didn’t send the dogs to Matan’s earlier. We are grateful and thankful to have found Matan and his team. We look forward to continuing training with Matan.
