Marvel K9 | Dog Training Academy

We brought our vizsla to MarvelK9 based on the other reviews. It's not close or convenient. Our 4 year old came for a reactive problem he grew into and unpredictability on leash. Off leash, he was great. They definitely seem experienced and knew what we were going through. We were very nervous to leave our boy for 4+ weeks with "strangers". Our first meeting with them lessened some of our doubt. Overall, communication is not their strength. They do reply fairly quickly to texts. Not as many pics as we would have liked. At the end, they brought him home after he was ready. He was so excited to be home. Hopefully he was treated well while he was there, no way to know, but it seems like it. They stayed with us longer than expected to make sure we knew what he had learned and hope to continue to apply it. It's been 2 months since he's back home. He definitely knows how to behave out around town when he's on his new collar and e-collar. He went from a 2/10 to a 9.9/10. Almost perfect. We tried to let him go for a walk once on his harness and he acted like he never went to camp. Clearly, he associates being good with his new hardware, but that's ok. He's calm, doesn't get bothered by other dogs on walks. He barely even acts like he sees them. Overall, highly recommend MarvelK9. I wish they were a little more transparent on the day to day for our boy and communicated a little better. Would we do it again, 100% yes. Oh, and the thing we were most worried about was a change in his personality. Nope, he's still the same goofy dog, just better mannered and predictable out and about.

I brought my 11-month-old German Shepherd to Marvel K9 for their advanced off-leash board and train program. Leaving him there for several weeks made me really nervous, but it ended up being one of the best decisions I've made. They truly love dogs and took great care of my boy. My biggest concern was that he wouldn't be the same dog when he came home, but he's still 100% his old goofy, happy self... just much better behaved. They were also great about answering all my questions and putting up with my frequent requests for pictures while he was there. The part that impressed me the most, though, was how they handled bringing him home. They didn't ask me to pick him up and they did not just drop him off and leave. They took the time to walk me through everything, get us started with his routine and training in our own environment, and make sure we were set up for success before they left. I really think that made a huge difference. It's only been a day since he came home, but we've already had plenty of chances to see his training in action. My pest control guy came by, and instead of getting overly excited like he would have before, he stayed in place without reacting. Seeing that kind of change so quickly has been amazing. One thing I've come to appreciate even more is that this program wasn't rushed. Years ago, I hoped to have my grandparents' dog trained through a different program that was advertised as being similar, but it only lasted about less than a week. After seeing what Marvel K9 does, I honestly don't think the two programs are comparable. Marvel K9 took several weeks because they weren't just teaching commands. They took the time to make sure my dog was comfortable, confident, and happy before expecting him to perform at this level. To me, that's what made all the difference. The end result wasn't just an obedient dog. It was the same dog with a huge personality I dropped off, just with the skills and confidence to make much better choices. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the experience. If you're on the fence about doing a board and train because you're worried about leaving your dog for a few weeks, I completely get it. I felt the same way. I always said I would never do it, actually, but I did and I don't regret it. I'd absolutely recommend Marvel K9 to train your pups.

We have had marginal to outright bad training experiences in the past, so we came in cautious. What we experienced here was nothing short of remarkable. Pricing was objective-based and transparent. Havoc even spent an extra week in training to ensure he was truly solid in his understanding, something we deeply appreciated and never felt pressured or nickel-and-dimed over. Communication throughout the process was excellent. We received consistent, meaningful updates and always felt informed and supported. At the same time, what truly sets Marvel K9 apart is their integrity. They are not phony, overly sweet, or sales-driven. They are honest, direct, and deeply principled in how they work. This is a family-run operation, and the passion is unmistakable. Everyone is fully engaged, extremely knowledgeable, and highly accomplished, including extensive experience in obedience competition and showing. Francois, in particular, brings a remarkable calm and a deep understanding of canine psychology, which he applies with great skill and sensitivity. Erene, his wife and training partner, is equally engaged, experienced, and outstanding, with excellent communication, incredible helpfulness, and consistent responsiveness. Havoc’s health and fitness were closely monitored throughout his stay, which gave us tremendous peace of mind. We also loved that they involved us directly in the process, having us train at their facility to ensure the transition would truly stick, followed by multiple in-home follow-up sessions. That level of commitment is rare. Marvel K9 is 100% invested in results, including our goals, Havoc’s potential, and long-term success. These are serious, professional trainers, not flashy or gimmicky dog trainers who focus more on marketing than outcomes. If you are looking for integrity, expertise, and real, lasting results, especially for a high-drive or challenging dog, Marvel K9 is exceptional.

We had a great experience with Marvel K9 in training our rescue Belgian Malinois mix Bea. This was Bea's first time away from home so we were nervous to leave her somewhere, but the training program has been amazing.
