Marcum K9 Obedience: Dog Training

Incredible incredible. We had our two boys there a 7 year old hound dog mix (Ruger) and our 7 month old Australian shepherd (Kai). They were in the 10 day training camp. We recieved lots of pictures everyday while they were in training. More importantly it's been about 2 weeks since they've been home. We are now able to take the boys everywhere and not have to struggle with tugging leashes, apologizing to everyone because they are barking loudly at everyone to say HI!!! lol. It's been amazing to not have to put them up when we get a pizza delivered :) Still have a lot of consistent training until we can go with out their reminder collars, but we have already gained the benefits of a clearer communication between what we want from our furry babies and what they understand.

I do not recommend this place and will not send another one of my pets here for training. I was disappointed with my interactions with this business during the training and following my dog’s stay. I am personally frustrated as I had hoped for a better result for my dog and have perceived a negative change in his physical condition and behavior following his training experience. I wish I had done more diligence before I sent my pet here.

I cannot thank the ladies at Marcum K9 enough. Because of their work with our sweet boy Gil, we were able to keep our little family intact! Gil was an anxious wreck when we brought our infant son home for the first time. He would jump, whine, bark and stop listening to all commands because of his nervous state. We couldn't have our son and our dog in the same room for fear of Gil accidentally hurting the baby while he was showing so much excited energy. After a 5 day board and train, Gil came back to us a changed dog! He is more confident and listens SO well, no matter what the distraction is. He is calm and allows us to be in control (something we have struggled with since he was a baby!). And the best part of all - they treated our pup like one of their own while he was with them. We received multiple text message and video updates showing Gil's progress. We cannot thank Marcum K9 (esepecially Tara!) enough for the work they did with our precious boy and with us. Our family is complete!
