Lucky Star Dog Training

I sent my dog, Wally, to Lucky Star Dog Training and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made. Before training, he was a total handful—chaotic, stubborn, and did whatever he wanted. Now he listens, has great manners, and can even walk off-leash, which I never thought would be possible. The difference in his behavior has made everyday life so much easier and more enjoyable. I can't thank Jen and Aaron enough! I would recommend Lucky Star to anyone who wants a happier, better-behaved dog and a lot less stress for a reasonable cost.

They did such a great job with our golden Sven. Before Sven was very disruptive in our life always getting a right up in our business and frustrating our two-year-old to no end by knocking him over all the time. But now he knows to go to his place and he stays there until we release him. We go on walks and don’t even need to hold the leash because he stays right by our side the whole time and isn’t distracted by deer, other dogs or anything else! They have made our family just so much more functional and we are very thankful!

We are so glad we decided to enroll our Charlie in the 3-week board and train program. The difference has been incredible. He's more responsive, listens better, and we feel much more confident working with him and continuing his training at home. Before training, even simple things like getting him back inside after potty breaks could turn into a frustrating battle because he would completely ignore us. Now, he comes when called, pays attention, and is much more willing to listen. Walks have become so much more enjoyable and far less stressful. One of the biggest changes has been bedtime. He now goes into his crate without any fuss, which has made our evenings much more relaxed. Aaron and Jen genuinely care about the dogs and their owners. They didn't just train our dog, they also train us and gave us the tools and guidance to keep building on his success. Looking back, we only wish we had found them sooner. This has easily been one of the best investments we've made for Charlie, and when we do get a second dog, we’re taking them to Aaron and Jen again (that’s how much we love the trainers!!)

I honestly cannot say enough good things about this training program. Sending my dog here for three weeks was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Before training, my dog was already a good dog—but now he’s on a completely different level. He walks perfectly on a leash, listens consistently, behaves calmly inside, and I can take him off-leash with full confidence. The transformation has been incredible, and it’s clear how much time, skill, and care went into his training. What really stood out to me is how well they understand dogs and how they tailor their approach to bring out the best in each one. They didn’t just “train” my dog—they helped him become the best version of himself. And just as importantly, they made sure I felt confident continuing everything at home. This has been the best decision i’ve ever made!!

Lucky Star Dog Training changes lives. Pepper is as smart as they get but she was lacking confidence -- walking in the neighborhood was particularly difficult (especially on trash day). Any hydraulic break or loud noise would send her running for the hills. She had a tough time settling in the house and as a shepherd, she can be a bit of a diva. Lucky Star was recommended by another friend who absolutely loves them. He was not wrong! Jen and Aaron are clear, kind, patient and really take the time to get to know, understand and bond with your dog. The 3-week board and train gave Pepper the tools to regulate her emotions but also allowed her personality to shine. She walks in the neighborhood, is eager to please and doesn't get distracted by outside stimuli. Jen and Aaron make sure you have the best understanding of how to keep the training going and don't make you feel stupid for asking 1,000 questions. They want you and your dog to succeed just as much as you do. They also totally de-mystify the e-collar and their philosophy around its use will make you much more comfortable. It’s a communication tool! Cannot recommend them enough!
