Lucid Dog Training

I've had several different amazing dog trainers over the years along with using great training materials and I have to say that Lucid ranks right up there with the best of the best. Especially if you have difficult issues, your money is well spent using Lucid to help you. For me and my 2.5 year old great pyr which I just adopted, Chris was just awesome in helping me work with and understand her. I have also watched him with other dogs/owners who present so many other different issues all of which Chris handles with incredible finesse/expertise. You cant go wrong with Lucid.

I can’t believe I hadn’t posted a google review yet… they deserve five stars and more. Chris and Katie are AMAZING. Both of our dogs, Gnocchi and Boba were trained by Chris and in a short span of time they learned so much! To give you an idea of the results… Several months later after her initial training Gnocchi has recently enrolled in formal truffle training with a specialist truffle instructor somewhere else and she remarked how well trained Gnocchi is. Boba, our other dog, was a rescue that was rather stubborn originally (he’s part chihuahua) and after training with Chris he’s now been able to learn tons of tricks with ease. I really appreciate their pedagogical approach in that they teach you how to train vs just training the dog to do specific things. You really feel armed with the skills to continue refining your dog’s abilities for the long term well after initial training is done. Each training is followed by a detailed write up from Katie so you can refer back to notes and they’re available for questions as well. I would not hesitate to recommend Lucid. They are top notch and are experts at what they do.

Chris and Katie at Lucid Dog Training have both been a tremendous help to me with my dog's issues. They are serious teachers who quicky focus in and don't waste your time or money. They are very reasonably priced and have a flexible custom program for your canine plus they offer an additional video library to refresh your training targets. How cool is that! I couldn't more highly recommend a local dog trainer than Lucid. Life has been so much better now with a dog that obeys me. Thank you Lucid!

We got a Mini Aussie pup in November 2020. After attempting to work with a local dog trainer who was way too pushy for my liking, I went on the search for someone new, and found Chris and Katie @ Lucid. Chris returned my call in minutes, and provided me references at my request, both of whom spoke very highly of their experience with Lucid. We just completed our 8 sessions with Chris and our puppy is doing very well. Chris is clearly knowledgeable in what he's teaching, and demonstrates everything with his dog, even over zoom calls. He trains you as the handler, and then its up to you to train your dog between sessions, which is exactly what we were looking for. In addition to being effective trainers, Chris and Katie know how to run a business very well. They were consistently communicative, responsive, and flexible when our puppy was sick, or when the power was out. We received a recap after every session with notes to keep, and reminders for upcoming sessions. They delivered everything they promised and more, and we'll be signing up for more sessions to take our knowledge (and dog's obedience) to the next level!
