Lucid Dog Training

Working with Chris and Katie was such a great experience for me and my dog. We both learned a ton about how to interact and respect each other more, I am really happy with the progress we have made and how much easier neighborhood walks are these days. Thanks again for the personalized attention and flexibility along the way, highly recommended. Here's my girl resting after she graduated the program. :)

We have two (2) 3-year-old corgis (Amos and Camina). They're super intelligent and also anxious. My partner and I had worked with the pups on the basics (sit, lay down, wait), but walks were tough. One or both pups would become distracted or anxious at different stimulus and with the dynamic of having two, anxiety could escalate quickly. Chris helped train us and the pups and helped us to understand how dogs learn, how their minds work, and how we can help instill confidence in them with training strategies that teach the pups critical thinking and relying on us for cues. After our 15 sessions both dogs are noticeably more relaxed and confident, and in anxiety situations they're able to tune into us and calm down quicker. Overall the pups have become much more engaged, especially during walks. The picture attached is one of the doggie group walks and demonstrates excellent engagement from my partner and Camina. Chris (and Katie by proxy via video recordings) were a pleasure to work with and we've already recommended them several times to friends and family. In short: Lucid training goes beyond the basics and helps set dogs and owners up for long-term success.
