I shot a deer Thursday night and tracked blood for 4 hrs. I had to get up early the next morning and go to work but called Jeff. He responded quickly and asked specific details about the shot and track. He was willing to wait a couple hours for me to get off work. We started the track about 18hrs after the shot. Jeff’s dog Cooper got immediately on the trail and we had to walk at a quick pace to keep up with him. We couldn’t find much blood but what we did find was fresh. After about 600yds of tracking with the dog (some through thick brush) and a total of .65miles of the shot, we both concluded that we were tracking a live deer that was most likely not mortally wounded thinking it to be a single lung shot. I would definitely give Jeff another call if I ever need to find a deer as he was professional and his dog Cooper was awesome!!

Jeff and his dog Cooper are an awesome team. Jeff is very responsive and a true professional. I was fascinated to hear about the specialized breeding that took place to develop the breed that Cooper is and also fascinated to hear about all of the training that goes in to creating a very proficient tracking dog. Cooper takes his job seriously and is a highly motivated dog. Last night, I made a good shot on a buck but lost blood after 150 yards. I backed out and texted Jeff. He asked great questions to get all details possible before arriving. It was a tough track through some thick areas but Cooper stayed focus and determined and eventually led us to my biggest buck to date with a bow. Thank you Jeff and Cooper!
