Logic Driven Canine Training

I can’t recommend Logic Driven Canine enough. Joe did a wonderful job training my dog Atlas. Atlas did the 4 week board and train and came to Joe not knowing a thing. Joe taught him all the key commands, how to walk properly on a leash and also off leash training. He was great about providing updates on Atlas via instagram. Atlas came home with such a calmer demeanor and seems happier. He even sits and waits for the light at crosswalks now. Joe spent a few hours with me at drop-off showing me what Atlas learned and really training me. He also gave a lot of great tips and suggestions for how to deal with Atlas’ high energy on a day to day basis. Overall, the training has given me the tools to communicate better with Atlas and allow us to enjoy every day life and new experiences with a lot less stress.

10/10 recommend Marisa and Logic Driven Canine! We brought our 11 month old Australian Cattle Dog mix, Blu, to Logic Driven Canine for the 4 week board and train program in February and could not be happier with our decision. We were a bit hesitant at first, but this ultimately became the best decision we could have made for both us and for our dog. Blu is a very sweet and smart girl and was able to understand basic commands before going to training, but we had difficulty getting her to actually listen to the commands. She was nonstop jumping on the counters, dinner table, going through the garbage, and doing whatever else she wanted with little response to commands. She also never settled down, even when exhausted; if she wasn’t eating or sleeping, she was destroying something. This was extremely difficult for us during busy work days or if we simply wanted to relax, we couldn’t unless she was being distracted by something. She also struggled with reactivity to new people in general, as well as new people coming to our home Blu worked with Marisa at Logic Driven Canine, and she is now well trained, follows commands, and overall is an absolute pleasure to have at home. She is able to be part of our life so much more now that we can trust her. We have brought her to the park a few times since she has returned from training and she can enjoy going off leash with other dogs. We can work from home, eat dinner in peace, and relax on the couch with her at our side. Blu is able to tag along with us in public places more so than before too. Truly life changing! We are so grateful for Marisa. She not only did an amazing job training Blu, but has also continued to support us and answer questions since finishing training. We now have the tools to have an amazing life with our dog, and give her the life she deserves. Thank you Marisa and Logic Driven Canine!

We have nothing but wonderful things to say about Joe and Logic Driven Canine Training services! We recently sent our 1-year-old Siberian Husky, Shadow, to Joe for a 4-week board-and-train. Shadow had behavioral issues that presented major safety concerns, including jumping & biting fits. He was also very difficult to walk as he always defaulted to pulling. We had worked with other trainers without any improvement in Shadow’s core issues as the positive-only training methods kept failing us. We reached out to Joe when we were at the end of our rope. We were interested in a behavioral modification program and had spoken to several other facilities & trainers but the moment we spoke to Joe on the phone there was a refreshing difference. He was very forthright, logical, and knowledgeable and didn’t resort to the meaningless catchphrases that we were tired of hearing from other trainers. What he explained to us about his training methods made sense and in the subsequent evaluation he set straightforward and realistic expectations. He was also very patient with us. We were a bit anxious about being separated from our dog for a month and worried that his personality might be altered in some negative way, but the updates, pictures and videos posted on Instagram were very reassuring, as we felt we could follow along with his progress. When it came time for Shadow to return home, Joe spent hours showing us how to use the new tools and methods and didn’t leave until we felt fully comfortable with them. Now that Shadow is home, the difference is truly remarkable! He is finally the dog we always hoped he could become. His personality was not altered, he’s still lively, fun-loving, and mischievous but now we can enjoy being with him and including him in our daily activities without the constant fear that his exuberance might escalate into dangerous behaviors. Walking him is enjoyable now and it feels pretty great when we are out to have the best-behaved dog instead of the worst (which was our experience prior to this)! We are extremely grateful to Joe and very happy with our decision to use Logic Driven Canine Training. It was worth every penny and we would absolutely recommend him and his team.

We sent our 1 year old corgi Harlow to LDC in November for a 4 week stay and we are highly impressed with the results and how much her behavior has improved! Joe and his team are truly amazing! Marisa worked with Harlow day in and day out to help her become the best version of herself. Harlow struggled with listening to commands, walking on a leash, interacting with others and overall she was lacking confidence. Marisa had the patience and determination working with Harlow; understanding who she was as a pup and exposing her to situations that would help build up her confidence and ease in every day life! We are incredibly grateful and will forever recommend them to everyone and anyone! A HUGE THANK YOU!!!!

Marissa is an amazing dog trainer! My Giant Schnauzer, Bruce, spent 8 weeks in the obedience and off-leash training program when he was 9-10 months old, and the results have been incredible. She was patient, knowledgeable, and truly understood how to work with his energy and personality. Before training, Bruce would pull on his leash and was strong-willed, but now he listens to commands reliably, even off-leash. Marissa also helped with my biggest concern—having the right tools and knowledge to navigate his stubborn teenage years. Thanks to her training, we can easily travel with Bruce on road trips, take him on hikes, and even have him ride alongside me on my bike! Now at 18 months old, his training still stands, and he continues to be well-behaved and responsive. She kept me updated throughout the process and gave me the confidence to maintain his training at home. We continue to stay in touch for any questions that might arise, and she’s always been helpful and responsive. I highly recommend Marissa to anyone looking for professional, effective dog training.
