LION K9

Lion K9 team is great! This is the first time I've used a professional dog trainer, and with our GSD just turning a year old, we really wanted to give him a solid foundation in basic obedience while also challenging him mentally and giving him productive ways to exercise his energy. From the beginning, Rob took the time to understand what we wanted to accomplish with our dog and how he fits into our everyday life. I really appreciate that the training isn’t just about teaching the dog—it’s about teaching the human, too. He takes the time to explain the “why” behind what we’re doing and connects the training to real-life situations, which has helped me understand my dog and communicate with him so much better. Since starting, his listening and overall manners have improved drastically, and it’s been really rewarding to see the difference. I also love the atmosphere of the training sessions and genuinely look forward to them each week. Practice outside of training makes a big difference and you have to be willing to put in the work! But having the guidance and support of a trainer who genuinely wants both the dog and the human to succeed has made the process so much more enjoyable and effective. I’m really happy with the progress we’ve made and would absolutely recommend Rod and the Lion K9 team to anyone looking to build a better relationship, communication, and foundation with their dog.

I rescued a young Belgian Malinois and I knew that I wanted all the help I could get to make sure she could thrive in our family. A friend had recommended LionK9 to me so I reached out to see if it was a good fit. When I brought Uno to the assessment, it looked like she would rather decapitate herself than go near Rob. I thought she might be beyond help. Rob encouraged me and had the utmost patience with me and with Uno. Today, she can walk through Home Depot without barking at a single person or other dogs, she follows commands even off leash, and she can be right next to Rob without freaking out! I am so grateful I took the time and energy to teach my dog proper obedience and I’m so grateful for LionK9 for teaching me!
