We couldn’t be happier with the results! John is an incredible dog trainer who truly knows what he’s doing. Our German Shepherd used to pull constantly on the leash. After working with him, the difference has been amazing. Our dog now walks calmly on a leash and is even able to walk off leash with confidence and good manners. What really stands out is how much he cares about the dogs he works with. John takes pride in helping both the dogs and their owners succeed. He was patient, knowledgeable, and great at explaining what we needed to do to continue reinforcing the training at home.

What John accomplished in one week is incredible, but what impressed me most is the way he trains. He doesn’t just teach commands. He teaches both the dog and the owner a different mindset and a better way to communicate. My German Shepherd, Bear, spent a week with John for his board and train program. Before John, listening was pretty much optional. Recall was nonexistent and settling down was a struggle. He taught her how to find a calm state, listen, and look to me for direction. A week later she stays on place, walks with me, listens, and can be off leash without taking off. She’s calmer, more confident and much more connected to me. John also makes sure you understand your dog and how to continue the work at home. He stayed in constant communication with me throughout the week with updates and videos, which made such a difference. His care and passion for what he does are obvious, and beyond being an amazing trainer he is a genuinely honest, upstanding person. I’m very particular about who I trust with Bear and I felt completely comfortable knowing she was in his care. The difference in just one week is beyond anything I expected. I couldn’t be happier with the experience or recommend John more.

We raised & bottlefed Carmen as a singleton from birth, mom passed. We fed raw in the past and saw first hand its many benefits! We wanted to find a local raw provider for our new pup and found John. What a gem! He taught us about when/how to transition from bottle to raw. He also prepared us for the many behavioral challenges a singleton pup has to overcome. Not to mention, Carmen has one blind eye. John offered playdates with his dogs to help socialize. By 7 months of age, with no other dogs to learn from daily, Carmen became reactive and barked at everything. She was clearly fearful and fear came out as aggression and constant barking. John's training program, and knowing her history, was tailored just for Carmen. Man, she is a different dog today! We are looking for a life buddy for Carmen now and you can be sure, we will use John's expertise again soon!
