Lee's Dog Training

We sent both our dogs to Lee's Dog Training for the week and it exceeded my expectations. Our dogs both had things to work on, excessive barking, anxiety, aggression, pulling on the leash, not listening to basically anything we wanted them to do honestly. Lee was very helpful in answering my questions prior and keeping in contact with me while the dogs were there. When picking them up we spent over an hour training with Lee and he trained us on how to discipline our dogs and how to keep up with the commands. When we got home our one dog regressed back to his old patterns pretty quick. With using the knowledge that Lee taught us our dog figured out real quick that we are in charge and not him. We have had the dogs back for 3 weeks now and I have been taking them both on enjoyable walks and keeping up with practicing commands with them every night. Our dogs are full time outside dogs and they still listen and follow commands. They come inside a few evenings a week and lay on the floor and we make them stay there while I cook dinner. Before training the dogs were always "busy" checking things out and would never lay down when they were inside. They are enjoyable inside the house and outside now that they have been to Lee's Dog Training. This is an investment but totally worth it for our dogs and for us!

Our family will be forever grateful for Lee’s Dog Training. We 100% recommend him to anyone who has no idea how to make their dog behave. Here’s our story. Our girls desperately wanted a puppy all through the pandemic and my husband and I finally gave in and brought home a cute little golden doodle they named Suki. Unfortunately, Suki’s sweetness quickly transformed into chaos as she ruled our house and scared our kids with unpredictable nipping, scratching, and barking behavior. We called in a few gentle trainers who showed us how to reward Suki’s good behavior with treats. Suki liked the treats but didn’t change her behavior. After 3-4 months of this bad behavior, I was ready to find another home for Suki (which would have been devastating to our girls). But then my husband found Lee. Lee took Suki for a week and did the hard work of teaching her that she was not the boss. And he provided very educational and entertaining dog training videos that our whole family watched together (even the girls liked them). When Suki came home, we consistently used a prong collar and learned from Lee how to appropriately use an e-collar on her. We followed all of Lee’s training instructions for reinforcing things he had taught her at “doggy boot camp” (our name for Suki’s intervention program). Lee’s methods are firm but never cruel and always measured and consistent. He showed us how to let Suki know her place in our family pack and she came to respect and obey us. We’ve had her 4 years now and she’s turned into a great dog. Post training, we have also come to rely on Lee’s kenneling service. We tried a few other places but the constant barking made Suki so stressed and nervous. When she goes to Lee’s, it’s peaceful there and she is always happy to see him. She always comes back in great shape. If you are on the fence about whether to use prong collars and e-collars to train your dog, just know these tools can be used responsibly to help your dog learn what behaviors you expect. Lee will show you how to do this with firm kindness and full respect for your dog and your family’s wellbeing. You need to put in some work too to reinforce what Lee teaches your dog. I’m here to tell you, it’s worth it!

My dog is still alive thanks to Lee. The boarding while training is essential to remove the dog from behaviors and patterns they are used to. Essentially my dog was a very spoiled, bratty child. Before going to Lee he would growl at me and others when being told what to do. After 3 months of contacting over 100 shelters, rescues and humane societies (who said he would just he euthanised)...and after contacting training places that wouldn't even work with a dog like him...and after speaking to places that would train him but couldn't give me the amount of time or money it would take them...I literally had him scheduled to be euthanized. This is because I had a baby on the way. Lee was one of the last places I called and I am so grateful I found him. We aren't even in the same state! After my dog stayed with Lee, he was changed. I watched the very helpful videos and was able to apply those tips on my Roo. Thanks to Lee my dog isn't afraid of everything and is so much more confident. Thank you so much Lee. He was worth the 3.5 hour drive one way. He is the only person I would trust with my dogs.

I apparently sent him too many questions so he told me he thinks it best he didnt train my dogs. Im actually glad he doesnt want my business bc now I dont trust his character. It seems to me if he cant answer questions like where my dog will stay, sleep, and how much indoor/ outdoor time they will have he likely doesn't have acceptable answers for me. I think these are all questions a parent would have in interviewing someone to care for their child/ dog. And our dogs are like children to us. Thanks Lee for doing me a favor before wasting my money.

If we could give more than 5 stars we would. Highly recommend. We have a mastiff who was highly anxious about everything and every loud noise. Lee gave us the tools and knowledge to help our dog to relax. He helped us out with techniques that we were missing during basic commands. There are great videos to watch to teach you about why he trains the way he does, and/or you can review if you cannot remember what he said. If you do your part after training you won't be disappointed. He is there for any questions or additional training after you leave.
