Lee's Dog Training

Lee is amazing! Our dog is so different and I couldn’t be happier When we started we had a food aggressive dog who would run away any chance he got. He barked at the sound of the wind blowing. He was aggressive to other dogs and we couldn’t even walk him because he’s 160 pounds of muscle and fluff and wanted to run everywhere. He chased cars on our porch and at one point he nipped a 2 year old over food causing him to bleed. We were at our breaking point and Lee was our last hope before we’d have to surrender him which was devastating to even think about. When he came back from lees there was a little push back and he still has his moments (mostly barking but once we tell him to calm down though he’s ok). Overall I can’t even tell who this dog is anymore. He’s lovey like always but with everybody and while he’s still protect us if need be he isn’t aggressive and has learned his place and seems happier and calmer. He also will walk from our porch to our fence without running off and he even stands at the porch until I tell him to come with me.

My family and I decided to rescue a 2yr old dog and day 1 it was like a miracle. We had waited a year since the loss of our 15 yr old whippet to be ready for the nuances a new dog has. We adopted Bentley and he already had all of the big ticket items figured out at 2 yrs old, or so we thought. He was friendly, house broken, and for the most part just loved and played with everyone in the family. Day 2 is when we realized there were some issues in the "perfect" adoption. He was pretty funny jumping onto our bed and laying in my spot. We laughed and went on with tucking the kids into bed. We went back into the room and he jumped into my spot again. This time I laughed and tried to gently nudge him to another area of the bed. That was the first nip, teeth on skin and full refusal to move. I took a step back and thought it's just him getting used to new surroundings and such. This type of behavior continued when he would flat refuse to do whatever we were asking him to do. It turned into him barking and being uncontrollable when anything new happened, like my 4 year old getting up in the middle of the night to go potty. We were at a tipping point and discussed we either need to train up or give up. We had tried treat training in the past and in fact started down that same road with Bentley but he was not motivated by treats unless he wanted to be. What I mean is that if the thing we were trying to get him to leave or drop was more interesting that the treat, he would not comply and would continue with what he wanted. We looked for a few days and reached out to multiple professional board and train facilities. Lee was and is still the only trainer within a 1 state radius that I reached out to that actually contacted me back and spent about an hour on our first conversation. He answered any questions that I could think of and encouraged me to talk it over with my wife and/or to setup a callback with both of us to see if he was a good fit for our training needs. I say it this way because I am convinced that we, Bentley's owners, needed just as much training as he did, if not more. I liked the fact that Lee didn't treat trained and that his pricing was very straight forward. We were not expecting to have a service dog level of training for the price we paid but we did hope for some things we thought were impossible in 7 days. Lee gave us confidence that he could give Bentley the structure or foundation for full off leash obedience. I admit that after dropping Bentley off, I was still skeptical that I would be able to drop his leash, walk away, and not have a runaway dog to chase down. 7 days past and we went this morning to pick Bentley up. Lee spent as much time as we wanted and even enlisted the help of his family to help train my wife and I on how to navigate the same situations that Bentley was terrible at before the board and train program. I was amazed that not only was I able to trust Bentley to not runaway but I was able to have him very quickly understand how I expected him to respectfully greet a new person. My wife and I are in awe of the amazing transformation that Lee was able to help Bentley with. We still have work to do, probably for the next 3 to 6 months but the Bentley we picked up today is 9000% in a different league than the Bentley we dropped of 7 days ago. We are so grateful for Lee and his program. We have already decided that if we adopt any more dogs we will board and train them with Dogtor Lee! Thank you Lee for all of the help. Anyone even remotely considering professional training, Lee is worth every penny. If you have a dog that is "pretty good, but....." you will be in awe of what Lee can do for you and your dog. Also I read all of the negative reviews prior to enrolling Bentley. I'd say toss them and form your own opinion after speaking with Lee. He doesn't sugar coat the training program or his thoughts on leadership, obedience, or ownership responsibilities.

Worst decision ever to take my dog here. I don't know how much space I have, but I'll write as much as allowed. Vet bills over $600 so far, 5 weeks after his so called "training". Took my boy because he had become anxious and jumpy after being attacked by 2 pit bulls last fall. Thought he could learn to walk better on leash and ignore other dogs. Siebold said he was attacked by the other dogs because my dog was "weak". Didn't know anything about him but he thinks he is such an expert about everything- ask him, he' ll tell you. No contact, no pictures, no videos during the week.Texted halfway through the week to ask how he was "So far so good, he'll be great with my help". When I picked him up, his feet had nails broken up to and past the quick on both feet and were swollen over twice their normal size, dried feces on his tail and back legs, was dehydrated from lack of adequate water, had bald spots on his tail, hygromas (swelling ) on his heels, bloody bald spots on his elbows, a cut on his back left leg, open to the size of a dime and he smelled horrible. He bled all over my car on the way home and all over my house for 3 days. I had to stop 10 miles after I picked him up to give him water and he drank almost a gallon. He drank water constantly for the next 3 days. He had been at the vet the week before he went to this place for an ear infection. Perfectly healthy. His vet was appalled at his condition. He lost 16 pounds 155 to 139 in 7 days and wasn't given adequate water. Siebold refused to give him his trazadone for calming, that I left for him and I told him he gets anxious in a kennel. That is how and why his feet were injured. I left canned food, he didn't give it to him. The vet said he had obviously been left on concrete or a hard surface for extended periods and had most likely hurt his feet in the first day or two. Of course Siebold did not contact me when he was hurt. He "trained " him while he was hurt and infected. He was so full of infection from his feet and other injuries, he urinated on himself in his sleep for 2 days after we were home. He was so ill, he couldn't wake up to go out. He has been on antibiotics and pain meds for 5 weeks so far, just went again today and he has 2 more weeks of medicine then sedation for surgery on his feet and a scope of his throat. The vet thinks it is injured from this "training" of being yanked around at extreme force. He has not been able to go for walks or visits, has to say inside and quiet for 5 weeks so far. He has finally gained back to 150 pounds. So much for the $2000 "training". My dog is not the same. He does not meet me at the door with a toy to play. He does not enjoy treats he used to love. We cannot go for walks, he is too sick. He doesn't play with my other dog. We have several more vet visits in the future. He has always been silly and a little goofy, not any more. So much for believing positive reviews. I'm sure Seibold will take this review down as fast as he can. He told me people who are too involved with their dogs are the ones who leave bad reviews. I do care about and love my dog and I dont think there is anything wrong with that. He did not care for my dog in the most basic way - food, water and a place he couldn't get hurt. He did not give him medicine I left for him. I typically do not leave reviews for anything but if this helps anyone protect their dog, I'll be happy. You are completely full of crap and will say anything to try to defend your poor care. I'm done. People can believe me or not.

We have a 9 month old yellow Labrador retriever who likes to pull you everywhere on her leash. Constantly barks and cries at everyone and constantly greets everyone by jumping all over them. We tried a bark collar and that helped some with barking but the rest it did not correct. So I was getting a lot of heat from family members seeing this lab pulling me around when taking her outside for potty breaks, etc. and my constantly yanking her back by her collar and yelling at her for commands that did not work, not a safe or good thing to be doing. So we reached out to Lee's Dog Training for suggestions and shortly gave our Labrador to Lee's Dog Training to get control of our dog. Well instantly upon arrival Lee came out to greet us and took over with the leash provided. Shortly Lee installed his training collar on our Labrador and it was like a light switch was switch, amazing results in listening instantly. We went ahead and left our Labrador for a week and within 3 days Lee's called implied our Labrador was ready to be picked up, she was amazing on her abilities to learn and follow commands given. So anxiously my wife and I went to pick up our Labrador from Lee and upon arrival, Lee's showed my wife some things our Lab has learned and worked with my wife on how to take the leash and continue training at home. Well once at home all we can say is that this isn't the same girl anymore, her personality came out better, she listens, she performs to commands and she no longer pulls me around and she only greets guests once we release her to welcome them with "NO JUMPING" on them anymore. Our guests are amazed by our Lab performance and manners, they state this is not the lab they got to know and that the money was well spent at Lee's Dog Training. We would without a doubt recommend Lee's Dog Training to anyone who is looking for that Professional Trainer. We give Lee's (5) stars for their abilities, care and patience shown . Terry & Fay
