Koena K9

I can not thank Christa at Koena K9 enough! My boy Frankie recently went to Christa for a 4 week board and train. He was extremely possessive with toys and treats, when on a walk he would pull and lunge at dogs walking by. He was horrible in the cage and would scream for hours! Frankie was showing signs of aggression toward specific dogs and people, he absolutely hated when people would handle him or trim his nails and clean his face. Christa is a miracle worker! Since Frankie has been home he has been doing amazing! We are able to go on walks with no issue! He is able to have any treats, toys and no longer try’s to bite someone that takes them. Being able to have off leash freedom with Frankie is amazing, it makes me so happy to be able to reward him in such a great way after doing so well with all his commands daily! Grooming and handling Frankie has become much easier, he no longer screams or try’s to bite when cleaning his face or trimming his nails. Christa has checked in constantly and we have had multiple follow up sessions with the dogs that Frankie was being aggressive towards, I am so happy to say Frankie is now able to be in the same room as them and will completely ignore them! Christa is very informative on how to handle specific situations if any arise. I will recommend everyone to Christa! She has truly changed our life’s in the best way! Thank you Koena K9!

Christa is wonderful to work with! We have an 140lb Great Dane with social anxiety and zero manners. After 30 days at Koena board and train we had a totally different dog! Christa not only taught Smokey how to act in social and home settings, but she is always there for us if we run into any training issues! I recommend Koena K9 to everyone! This program has totally changed the relationship we have with our dog!

We took Ryder (10 months at the time) to Christa and chose the 4 week board and train. Ryder was so anxious and a very hyper Australian Shepherd. She kept in touch and updated us throughout his training. We were worried his personality (goofy & so sweet) would change from the training. When Ryder returned home after his 4 weeks, he was the best trained dog ever. Recently, I took him to a summer market & was complimented on how well he behaved and didn’t approach people/dogs/kids. He did down-stays and kept the hold. He’s able to be off leash and have fun. He listens and knows when he is wrong. Christa did such an amazing job with Ryder. To the point where we have signed up our new puppy to attend the 4 week board and train when he’s 6 months old. Highly recommend. I trust her. Communicates great. Follows up with her clients. And knows exactly how to fix behaviors that aren’t wanted. She also has a great sense of humor. I can’t wait to have 2 very young, very trained Australian Shepherds to take on many adventures. Also. His personality is still so goofy and so sweet.
