An Amazing and Trustworthy Dog Training Experience I cannot recommend this dog training boarding service enough! From the moment I first reached out, the experience has been nothing short of exceptional. When an unexpected need for a three-week training arose, they were able to accommodate my dog on very short notice. Megan even went out of her way to pick him up since she lives a bit far away. Throughout the three weeks, the communication was incredible. We received daily updates, including pictures and videos, which kept us completely in the loop on his progress. This consistent contact gave us immense peace of mind while we were away. When our flight was canceled, forcing us to extend our trip by three days, they were incredibly understanding and flexible, accommodating the change without any hesitation. When it was time for my dog to come home, Megan brought him back and spent nearly two and a half hours with my wife and me. She patiently taught us all the commands and showed us how to continue his training. We have a black lab who was full of energy and curiosity, and the transformation is remarkable. He is now a different dog—calmer and better behaved, making our walks much more enjoyable and giving us so much peace of mind. We are so grateful for their hard work and dedication.

A mutual friend connected us with Brad when we knew we needed more than basic training for our two Cane Corsos. Brad did a great job listening to our concerns and the life we hoped to set up for our puppy girls & family. He gave us realistic expectations as well as the tools and confidence we needed to build better structure in our home with two large (and often stubborn) Cane Corsos. My dogs became part of his family and it was a true team effort to train these girls. They gave consistent updates throughout “camp”, showing us all their progress and making adjustments along the way. After completing a two week program with Kodiak K9 our dogs: -Obey basic commands such as sit, down, & stay. -Place- stay on their cot during dinner & when visitors come over. -Walk politely on a leash -Walk off leash using an e-collar -Go up and down stairs (I’m serious lol) I highly recommend Kodiak K9 to anyone who has a challenging dog. They can definitely help you build the structure your home needs to bring the best out in your pup!

6 weeks after getting Tugboat, he started to develop problems with people in the apartment and generally became pretty barky at other people and dogs. It was extremely hard to manage and I was getting overwhelmed. He’s about 70 pounds, and has a pretty intimidating bark. My parents came to stay, and the last day the Boat cornered my mom barking inside the apartment and scared her pretty bad. And very justifiably so. The next day I found Kodiak K-9, and I was connected with Micah. From the first phone call, Micah immediately set me at ease. She gave me every confidence in her abilities and was exceptionally patient with me, and responsive leading up to the training. When I showed up with Tugboat, he was a mess. She didn’t flinch, helped me manage expectations and was exceedingly patient with me (as a very very nervous first time dog owner). She is so patient and honest and will meet every dog where they are. She was very upfront with me. Throughout the three weeks, I received multiple updates (unprompted) every day. I, of course recieved many very exciting updates on his training but also very very relieving updates/videos of him playing in her backyard or licking her hand or hanging out on her porch. I was fully confident my boy was being well taken care of and having a lot of fun. She was careful about his medications and his food intake, suggested changes to his food/feeding schedule that benefited him greatly—all care that went above and beyond what I contracted for. When she dropped off Tugboat after the three weeks, I couldn’t believe the changes. He was the same goofy dog, but his anxieties were much more manageable. Because my parents will sometimes need to watch Tug, and my mom was left very scared of him, Micah encouraged me to bring them to the drop off so they could learn as well. Tugboat went up to them and licked them, and was friendly as could be. Genuinely, he was so much more confident and it was wonderful to see. Micah spent well over an hour showing us what Tug had learned and how to maintain it. Tugboat, of course, was not and is not a completed project. But Micah gave me the skills to keep working on it with him. More importantly, she gave me a system to work with, and Tugboat and I have built up a lot of trust. Now, I trust him to go up to strangers (with their permission) and greet them without randomly barking. I also know a lot more about his boundaries and triggers so I can help advocate for him. Because I can now predict his behaviors better and trust him more, I can let him do more “dog things,” which of course desensitizes him and helps him grow. It has taken the stress out of walks, greetings, and pretty much everything. Tug still doesn’t love people in the apartment, but he is leaps and bounds better than he was because of the protocols Micah helped me establish and the training she has helped me with since then. She is very available after the training and genuinely excited to hear about my Boats progress. I have also boarded with her and had training sessions with her since picking up Tug, and have had such positive results. My exceptionally anxious, shy dog loves her and her family. Today, my parents came to visit, and we had absolutely no barks. Tugboat recognized them, was friendly, and I cannot describe how positive the interaction was, even inside my apartment. I didn’t think we’d get here, my mom now trusts him completely. Tugboat trained/boarded with Micah a few months ago, and we have been putting in the work since. I firmly believe Tugboat is the happy dog he is today because of Micah’s work, patience and education. My parents and I routinely talk about how “Micah is the best money I have ever spent.” I genuinely don’t know where we’d be without her. But with her help, Tugboat is a way happier and confident dog, and I am infinitely less stressed about him. I cannot recommend Kodiak K-9, and Micah in particular, enough. This training has so dramatically improved my and my dog’s lives.

Kodiak k9 is simply the best! We brought our older dog to Brad 2 years ago so we knew after we got our new puppy we’d be taking him to Brad as well. Rookie was a sweet pup but lacked manners, jumped on everything and everyone and barked non-stop at people or dogs he didn’t know. We dropped him off for a 2 week board and train and we were amazed by the progress Brad made in just a few short days. When we picked him up at the end of his time with Brad we had a new and improved dog. Rookie is able to be off leash outside of our house, sits in place without begging for food and is a rockstar at listening even when he wants to misbehave. We are so thankful that Brad has worked his magic on another one of our pups!

Cannot say enough good things about Kodiak K9 and our amazing trainer Megan! Our pit-mix, Ryder spent 3 weeks with Megan at her house, with other training dogs and to see the work that she was able to accomplish with him has been awesome. The command/training structure that Ryder has now is really amazing to see. Megan did a tremendous job also spending time teaching us how to handle Ryder now that he is home and we are the ones training him. Megan stayed in constant communication with us on Ryder's progress and continues to check in on "her boy" after to make sure his home training and acclimation is going smooth. Highly recommend Kodiak's training services, and Megan specifically! They are the real deal and we felt totally at ease having our little guy away for 3 whole weeks!
