Kate is a wonderful trainer!. She is always very patient with me as she teaches me how to train and interact with my dog. She deeply understands dog(and a bit of human psychology). She will definitely help you enjoy your dog a lot more as she guides you in developing your relationship with them. She clearly demonstrates the approach by working with your dog and then having you practice together . Our lab, Hazel is growing into an amazing girl because of the classes we have taken and what we have learned together. I highly recommend Kate and Kindred Spirits for your dog training. Kindred Spirits Canine Education Center In my lifetime, I have had five dogs and all were trained to come, sit, wait, etc. Last May, my cousin blessed with Kipper, an Australian Cattle Dog, aka a Queensland Heeler. I had wanted one since I was 15 and now, I had her. Training began on her first day with a good recall and leave it. As the summer passed, she was learning more however, she did like to argue while on a leash. I had contacted another trainer who suggested get her on a Martingale collar as to curb her arguing. I never used that type of collar and procured on immediately. Life had a hiccup and I was not able to work with that trainer. Looking for someone local, we found Kindred Spirits Canine Education Center and signed up for the six week Basic Obedience Class. Kate's knowledge base is vast and her tips on best practices training yourself to train your dog are marvelous. She uses all teaching modalities from write ups for each class, hands on training for proper techniques, and insights on how to best handle a multitude of situations. While my sweet girl has a Little Right Front Paw, it doesn't slow her down one bit. She is wants to meet and greet everyone. As a result of the great training, she is learning to wait for permission to meet people. Many of my friends are amazed at how much she had changed after the class. We had so much fun and will be back for the next Intermediate and Canine Good Citizen classes.
