KIBA K9s | World-Class Dog Training

You would think it'll be easy to find good trainers in New York City but unfortunately they are few and far between. With that said, I hope you find KIBA K9 early in your search. That will save you a ton of headaches. I’ve enrolled in puppy steps private sessions. Our goal was to develop my German shepherd to thrive in any environment. We want him to be able to focus under distractions at the handler and build him up to not create fearful or reactive behavior. He has helped me immensely build a communication system with my puppy and build a good foundation to survive the busy streets of NYC. If you’re looking for a dog trainer and you’ve come across Kiba K9s, look no further! For some background, Dora is a rescue and in the beginning, she was an incredibly anxious and shy dog. One thing I struggled with the most was navigating her extreme fear of going outside. Trying to train her myself was impossible and desperate for help, I reached out to Kiba K9s and wow it was the best thing I could’ve done for both me and Dora. Working with Tiffany has been an absolute dream and lifesaver. We did a few private sessions together and by the end of it, Dora was a completely different dog and I was blown away by how much progress Dora made in such a short amount of time. Tiffany was sooo patient, knowledgeable and compassionate. Not only did she help train Dora, but I feel like she trained me as well! After finishing our private sessions, I was so pleased with the results that I enrolled Dora in the Day Training program where she continues to make progress even quicker. I’ve worked with other trainers in the past with my previous dog and no one even compares to the level of expertise that Tiffany and Kiba have. Couldn’t recommend them more!

I adopted my 8 year old rescue pup Mickey over the summer and very quickly realized that while he’s sweet and smart, he hadn’t really been trained before and had some leash reactivity issues. I worked with Tiffany over several sessions and she was so immensely helpful with figuring out what he would and would not respond to, providing us with a base of foundations, and working to help address our better walking goals. The difference from before training and after is night and day! I feel like I now better understand how to communicate with Mickey and we have a stronger bond to show for it. I highly recommend Tiffany and the KIBA K9 team for dog training, even if you have an older pup and you’re not sure!

We had such a great experience training with Tiffany! Our biggest concerns were our dog’s reactivity to other animals and his obedience, and he's has greatly improved! His reactivity toward other dogs has almost completely changed and he’s much calmer around rats/squirrels. Tiffany taught us different leash handling techniques and introduced tools that helped him stay focused and connected with us. We feel far more confident leading him in different situations. You can tell Tiffany really loves what she does. She’s easy to talk to and genuinely cares about helping you and your dog reach your goals.

We did a few private training sessions with Kiba K9 and wouldn’t recommend enough. Our excellent trainer, Tiffany, not only was she insightful with behavioral tips but helped us with obedience. Our dog, a rescue from Korea, joined us with very strong fear of the city and its noises. Tiffany helped us be patient yet firm with him. He’s made a lot of progress and that couldn’t have happened without her help and expertise.
