I would recommend Sam for anyone wanting training for their pup. I have a boxer who was demonstrating insecurities and aggression toward strangers and other dogs. We started looking into a variety of board and train programs and I am so glad that we decided to go with Sam. She is really invested in making sure that the work she did with our Pepper transitioned well to our home. She helped us accomplish the goals we had for dog training and we can now enjoy to walk our dog and not worry about coming across a neighbor. The experience exceeded our expectations by leaps and bounds. Sam knows her craft very well, is kind and patient, very responsive, sent us lots of wonderful picture/video updates, and you can tell that she has a true passion for dogs of all kinds. I am so thankful that we chose to work with Sam! 10 of 10 would recommend!

We have a 2.5 yr old boxer & overall he is a great dog! But walking him is like walking a wild animal. We have tried every leash & collar type to no avail. I researched trainers & came across Kentucky Dog Training LLC & I am glad I did! Sam took Jameson for 2 weeks & we are able to walk him & actually enjoy the walk. He is much happier too! Sam has come back to our home to check on Jameson’s progress & provide me some RE-training. Before sending our dog with Sam we had multiple phone conversations to discuss him & our families goals with Jameson to ensure it was a good fit for everyone. Once Jameson was ready to come home, we met at Cherokee Park & spent about an hour with Sam teaching us how to continue Jameson’s training. I can’t say enough good thinks about Sam & her program! Call her!! You won’t be disappointed!!

What can I say about Kentucky Dog Training LLC?!?! Nothing but simply AWESOME baby with a capital A!! What Sam and her team did for my high spirited rambunctious 8 month old Goldendoodle Diesel words truly can't describe!! Diesel came back mild mannered, obeying every command but still having fun, but in the right and mature way!! We have 9 yr old twins who Diesel loves but love"D" to mouth uncontrollably while playing. Although it was fun for Diesel it wasnt much fun for our twins. After spending 3 weeks at K.D.T. with Sam, Diesel understands how "to play nice" and the twins are loving every minute of it. With Covid going on, it was hard to get Diesel scheduled for his grooming session but once I did Sam dropped Diesel off and picked him up on time. Mind you it was on opposite ends of town. However she did it with no hesitation because she felt he would benefit the most from training with the proper grooming!! That let's me know shes not in it for the money. She wants every dog to get the best benefits. I would be lying if I said I wasnt heart broken by letting Diesel go for 3 weeks to board and train but the daily pictures, videos, progress and friendships Diesels gained made my family smile. It made us appreciate Sam and team 10,000xs more!!! After Diesel came home the transition was simple, all the training shined through. We scheduled Diesel's last home training a week out...and when Sam pulled up and Diesel locked eyes...Mama became jealous because Diesel couldn't wait to get to Sam. Again that let's me know Diesel made a connection, he wasnt harmed or mistreated in any way. Sam cares for every pup she trains. She's worth EVERY PENNY SPENT!! I've put Diesel through puppy trainer, even before that I had someone come to home and train. I'm not one to bash other trainers but I will say what they taught me and Diesel was only temporary training in my opinion. Money not well spent. Going to Kentucky Dog Training...I will never use another training as long as they are in business!! I know reviews are just reviews. You have to experience it for yourself, but this is my first time every leaving a review for any business/experience and I thank God its favorable!! Thank you Sam and team for all you did for Diesel. We have already signed up for day care once a week just so Diesel can continue training and seeing his friends!! I can go on and on but I'll end here by saying we ABSOLUTELY LOVE K.D.T. LLC!!

I have known Sam Adams as a competitor and trainer for almost ten years. She is intelligent, incredibly well thought out, and an extremely talented trainer. There are very very few people on this planet that I would trust with my dog. Sam is one of the few. She truly loves and cares about the dogs she is training, and I have been impressed at how amazingly intuitive she is, picking up on any issue before it is readily apparent to most. Sam excels at creating happy, well trained pets and high scoring competition dogs, as is obvious by her success with many breeds, in many sports. Because she is such a talented trainer, and because she is so on top of the health and happiness of the dogs in her care, I will be sending my own dog to her, from New York State, for several months of training with the goal of competing at a high level. I am unable to give my dog the training that she needs at this time, due to the covid crisis. I agonized over the decision and even consulted with another trainer if it was the right decision. Her response "If you want to compete, you had better send her to Sam. I plan to do so as well, with my next dog." I have no doubt my dog will return happy, healthy, and with dazzling skills in several sports, because Sam is just that good.
