Kalamazoo Kennel Club

I recently started attending puppy classes with my two German Shepherd pups at the KKC, and the experience has been outstanding. I attend one class on Monday nights, where the trainers are consistently knowledgeable, patient, and kind. They create a supportive environment that makes both dogs and handlers feel comfortable while learning. I also attend the Thursday morning class, where Betts leads and Lorie assists—both are truly exceptional. They work with confidence, clarity, and a depth of knowledge that really shows in how effectively they communicate and guide each participant. Their ability to read both dogs and owners and adjust accordingly is impressive. What I appreciate most about both classes is the focus on teaching owners how to train their dogs themselves. The emphasis on fundamentals, consistency, and proper technique has given me the tools and confidence to continue working with my pups outside of class. The guidance is practical, easy to apply, and clearly designed for long-term success. I’m genuinely grateful for the experience and would highly recommend KKC to anyone looking to build a strong foundation with their dog while working with skilled and supportive trainers.
