Kabler School For Dogs

I imagine this school works for many. But when it didn't work for my young dog, they had NO solution but the runaround. My dog is a difficult to train terrier breed. The very expensive cost (over $3K) brings with it the expectation of results. While the dog learned many tasks, her response to commands is still poor and the aggression towards other dogs hasn't been put fully under control. Instead of treating this as an anomaly that they needed to deal with, they've turned their back on us. Not what anyone expects from a competent vendor.

Bernie used to ignore us when other dogs were around. After Kabler’s six-week training program, Bernie is far more attentive during walks. At his graduation exercise, Bernie demonstrated recall (return to owner when I say “come”) and a sustained stay despite heavy distraction from the trainer’s playful dog. Kabler trains a lot of skills designed to keep your dog safe and to make your dog a good citizen, including: * walking attentively with the owner without pulling on the leash or walking directly under the owner’s feet. * walking off leash next to the owner. * heel walking, where your pup is glued to your left side—great for crossing the street. * robust recall in the presence of distractions. * go-place: stay for an hour or more on a mat—great for restaurant dinners! * robust “sit”, “down” and “stay” commands—essential when working around other dogs or people. In addition, Kabler trains the owner in dog behavior and the humane use of dog training tools such as prong collars and e-collars. The only thing better than a good dog is a well-trained good dog.
