I couldn’t more highly recommend Dave, Candy and the other trainers at this school. My dog is a 3 year old Staffordshire Terrier and has all the characteristics of her breed - particularly very smart and very stubborn. When I took her to Dave, she didn’t walk on a leash well at all (constantly pulling and eating things off the street) or listen consistently. We started with the on leash training and after seeing such phenomenal results, we did the off leash too. We are now comfortable taking her anywhere, and we all can enjoy life more because she is so much better behaved (but still has her same level of spunk and sass which we love). I came to David this past summer with my dog who I did a lot of solo training with. He was extremely accommodating and was able to come up with a unique training package that fit what my dog needed. Many places require you go through their whole program regardless of if your dog needs it. David’s training style is something I really loved because it is lure based which makes your dog want to learn and makes training enjoyable for them. Each session I’ve had with him was extremely impactful and I always saw progress with my dog after. He has so much knowledge on different techniques that are individualized to your dog. I have since moved from Asheville and was in town for a few weeks and was able to meet with him to teach my dog specific therapy dog tasks. David was extremely accommodating and was eager to work with my dog and I again. I cannot say enough positive things about Kabler School for Dogs and David. If you’re looking for fun, relaxed and effective training there is no better place.
