I had recently moved across the country with my two dogs and they were not in good shape once we got here. They turned aggressive and protective and I was afraid to let anyone near them. I was beside myself and found Stonehill Kennels. My dogs had a residence there for a few weeks and came back as sweet, lovable, obedient dogs that anyone would want to spend time with. Absolutely unbelievable transformation from the best staff in the world. I also board my dogs here and they look forward to coming there each time with happiness. It is worth every penny to invest in their state of the art world class training. Amazing!

Dear Chris - We want to thank you and your staff for the training you did with our dog, Shelby, during her six week In-Kennel Training Program in late 2021. We knew she was a great dog with some behavioral issues, but we didn’t realize how amazing she could be. Our sincere thanks goes to Landry Rogers, who was and has been amazing in the training process as well as communication with us. He has been extremely professional, respectful, and conscientious while training our year-old Australian Labradoodle. He structured his training to fit Shelby's personality and went at her pace. The videos he shared with us were helpful and welcomed. Although we missed her like crazy, we could see that she was happy to be working with Landry and progressing weekly! He handled our many questions and explaining training techniques during our training sessions with ease. We were again reminded of Landry's skills as a trainer when we were in Goshen for a follow-up visit recently. He showed us how to avoid a leash-pulling behavior, which he demonstrated in only three 180 degree turns before Shelby learned that she must follow the lead and not pull. Shelby is extremely well behaved (most of the time!), but more importantly, we believe that she is a happier dog when she knows her roles and can follow commands. We value each of the commands she has learned but are particularly appreciative of what we, as owners, have learned as well! Being first-time dog owners, we learned a lot and we use the skills Shelby was taught daily. It has been rewarding to see her grow into a more confident dog. We are especially proud of our dog’s behavior when we take her with us in public. We almost always hear positive comments from strangers about her obedience and behavior and are happy to share our experience with them about K9One Dog Training at Stonehill Kennels. There are not enough words of praise and thanks 🙏 to Stonehill Kennels and Cassidy Stone for giving us the gift of a well behaved dog 🐕. Rascal left us 7 weeks ago having well earned the name Super Naughty Rotten Rascal. We struggled with having done multiple trainings and in home behavioral consults, that just left us with an out of control dog, out of control home, chaos and an unfortunate incident with one of our cats. (Hank is alive and well after his own recovery). We were faced with a very hard decision. Many others were telling us to rehome our beloved pup, we were the problem (we acknowledge some of it was us). We were using gates, muzzles, crates, interactive toys, walks, doggy day camp among other things. NOTHING we tried worked. We were at the end of our ropes. We found an advertisment on Facebook for Stonehill Kennels, spoke with Chris and we were sold. After a few weeks of waiting Super Naughty Rotten Rascal was sent to Bootcamp. The first four weeks he did great and we were scheduled to see our baby boy however Super Naughty Rotten Rascal had one more trick up his sleeve. Boy did he test his trainer Cassidy. They worked through him trying to exert his dominance on her and the situation. We waited five weeks to see our baby and he was a new dog. Doing every command beautifully for Cassidy and us. 🐕🥰 (insert a very ugly mom cry moment). We are so proud of you buddy. Today he has returned as a super fun loving well behaved Rascal!!!! He even got praise in Lowes (some guy) “that’s how behaved I want my dog to be”. Insert another ugly mommy cry 😢 moment! My heart if full having all my fur babies at home. When others told us to rehome him, Sonehill Kennels and Cassidy came through delivering exactly what they said they would. We can’t thank you enough. There are just not enough positive things we can say about you all. We are fur-ever grateful!!!!🥰💜🐕😘

My 1 year old Lakeland terrier was more than I could handle and I was in the verge of finding her a new home. As a final attempt to improve our relationship, I enrolled her at Stonekill for six weeks of training. Cassidy, her assigned trainer took charge of Fiona’s education professionally and with kindness. She adapted her teaching to what was important to me and to what Fiona responded to. She came home with me a few weeks ago a new pet. She is still her bossy little self, but is responsive to my directions and is a loving little buddy. Cassidy followed up with my “training” that will always be a work in progress this past weekend. The entire experience was worthwhile and continually rewarding for both Fiona and me. I knew I had made a good decision when Fiona reunited with Cassidy with affection and excitement followed up by her obeying a few test commands right on cue. Thank you Stonekill and Cassidy.

We can’t say enough good things about Stonehill Kennels in Groton, CT. Our 11-month old, stubborn Rottweiler puppy, King, boarded and trained for 9 weeks. Landry was our trainer and he was wonderful. It was obvious that King was well taken care of while he was there and well trained. Landry gave us weekly updates on King’s progress while he was there. Since he has been home, we have continued to train daily with King and go back to Stonehill to meet with Landry for additional training every couple of weeks. Stonehill Kennels and Landry are worth the time and money that we have spent to have a well trained, enjoyable member to our family.
