K9Aholics Dog Training

Makayla and the rest of the trainers have been absolutely amazing with my dog Scooby! There’s a newborn in our house now and we had some concerns with boundaries, but they have played the foundation for us and given us the tools to build on that and have a normal life in our own house again, even with the addition of a new baby. I’m so grateful for all they’ve done for us and will be back for any of my training needs.

I have noticed a remarkable difference in Daisy since her time at K9aholics. Days before, I took her to a pet store and she pulled on lease and barked at another dog. Yesterday, she did none of that. She used to chase my cat and still does some (she's only 8 months) but will stop when I say Nu uh. Also doing much better on our walks. Mikayla was amazing and was always available for my texts/calls. I missed Daisy terribly while she was being trained but it was definitely worth it. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend K9Aholics! My fiancee, Alyssa, and I sent our dog, Kona, for a board and train program and we are thrilled with the results. I was initially nervous at pickup because Kona didn't seem different, but she was just so excited to see us that it actually cut our first "take-home lesson" short. Once we got home, she wasn't quite used to us giving the commands yet. However, when we went back for our full "take-home lesson," everything clicked. They spent two hours working directly with Alyssa and me, teaching us how to actually fully command Kona and successfully use the tools she was trained with. That is when it became completely obvious that Kona knew all of her commands, we just needed the training ourselves! Our main goal was to confidently take Kona to the beach off-leash. We needed to know she would listen to our recall instead of running up to strangers, and crucially, we wanted to reduce her reactivity so she wouldn't be too intense when other dogs walked by. We just had our first successful, stress-free beach day last week! Even friends who knew her before couldn't believe she was the same dog. We couldn't be happier with the experience!

Haleigh is an amazing dog trainer and person. She helped us with our German Shepherd, Layla, who was unpredictable, very reactive and prey-driven. Haleigh dedicated a huge amount of time partnering with both Layla and us. She even comes to our home regularly to work with Layla. Haleigh taught us how to properly reinforce what Layla learned. The tips and advice Haleigh continues to give us are priceless. Haleigh taught us that humans need training too. We’re immensely grateful to Haleigh for teaching us how to make Layla’s life better. Layla is a totally different dog than she was before we met Haleigh and the team at K9aholics! Now Layla is a mature, predictable and well-adapted dog. Haleigh is a gifted professional who worked a miracle with our Layla and our family! The prices were extremely reasonable. Haleigh continues to follow up with us to answer questions and provide additional support. We would HIGHLY recommend K9aholics and Haleigh to anyone searching for a professional trainer to improve the life and behavior of their dog. We can’t thank Haleigh and her team enough.
