K9Aholics Dog Training

Rachel was instrumental in me being able to introduce a new dog into my home last year. My two senior dogs were really struggling to adjust to a one-year old pitbull coming into our lives, and after a lot of stress and one terrifying dog fight breaking out, I called her for help. Her patience and guidance were instrumental in helping us work through this life change and resulted in all three dogs coexisting peacefully. I went from having dogs separated by floors of the house, to being able to walk all three together - something I never thought would be possible! I have also boarded my dogs with her multiple times and she is one of the few people I trust to keep them safe and well cared for. I highly recommend her!

Let me start by saying we trained two rescue dogs - one was a Jack Russel with papers - and we had them for 17 years. That was 7 years ago. We adopted an adorable, wiggly, 4 month old mixed breed from a rescue organization. She has happy energy, but a lot of it. She is VERY SMART, but willful, and would spite pee when she wasn’t getting what she wanted. She chewed everything, and jumped and zoomied everywhere. Oh, and this dog didn’t listen worth a lick. We thought we maybe made a mistake, because she was just wild. We found K9Aholics on Google. Amazing reviews and they called back right away. We talked with Hannah about the month long program. It was more money than we thought, but the program worked around our work schedules (Navy & Restaurant) and she would be at school 12 hours a day, some days, and 5 days a week. Within 2 days there was improvement, and at the end of that week, and every week following, we had a lesson with our dog, so we would learn what she did that week. The team of amazing trainers at K9Aholics implemented different training techniques and collars, teaching behavioral modifications and accountability to our lil crazy girl. We even boarded her there while we went out of town for a few days and her training never stopped. Our Happy dog is not perfect, but she, and we, all have tools and training to keep on getting better! BOTTOM LINE: They are an amazing team, all of them, and the cost of the program is WORTH IT.

I would recommend K9Aholics to anyone with a dog. We sent out one year old gargoyle for the 4 week training and got so much more. He loved coming every day and we noticed an improvement right away. They set him up for success and showed us the way, because honestly it’s mostly about getting us trained too. They were great at communicating and we loved getting report cards on his progress. Max would go every day if it were up to him ( and us too, honestly)
