K9 Unified | Expert Dog Training and Board & Train Programs

We could not be more pleased with Dan and his team. We compared a number of different “Board & Train” programs for our new pup, and we found the K9 United program to be the best fit for us. We reached out for our initial consultation and we had a zoom meeting with Dan later that day. He was able to answer our questions, and we never felt rushed or pressured. I cannot emphasize this point enough. Over the course of the 3 week training program Dan was available via text; he called almost every night with an update and it never once felt like he had something more important to be doing than talking to us in that moment (knowing full well - he certainly did) Dan and his team worked with us to find solutions that worked best for our dog AND our family. No two dogs and no two families are the same, and they integrated our specific needs into the training. We now have a well-mannered pup (or at least he’s much closer to that than before) - note that training never ends. We were we returned a different dog than we sent out, but it’s our responsibility to keep up with it. We have now enlisted the team to do some in-home sessions with our kids and other dog too, to make sure everyone is on the same page. We could not be more impressed with K9 United’s performance. We know that we hired them to perform a service, and while they did an excellent job, the whole team feels more like friends. We look forward to working with the team and taking advantage of the other programs and services they offer.

I have had the pleasure of training all three of my dogs with Dan. From the moment we started, I could see the progress each day, from basic commands to even more advanced tricks. The training has improved all of my dog's behavior significantly. Dan’s expertise and patience were evident from day one, as he tailored each session to suit each one of my dog’s unique needs and goals. Dan provided clear instructions and a lot of hands on time with us, ensuring that we could effectively continue the training and the management of our dogs at home. We are so grateful to Dan and his team for all their help with our GSP puppy! After trying several leash walking methods on our own (and failing) we decided to sign Harvey up with the Great Beginnings Day Training Program. After two weeks, Kaitlyn, Heather and Dan successfully got our prey-driven mega-puller to be a perfectly polite leash walker. Dan was also able to condition Harvey to recall on the e-collar, something important to us as we work towards off-leash walks and hikes.
