K9 Unified Dog Training, located in Simsbury, Connecticut, offers customized dog obedience training tailored to each dog's unique personality and needs. Our belief is that every dog is as individual as their quirks, so we craft personalized programs to help them master basic obedience or tackle behavioral challenges.
Our services include private dog training, dog behavioral training, dog day training (drop-off), and a dog board and train program. Additionally, we offer a leash walking program, a family head start program, and a puppy management program. With our guidance and support, your pup will receive the training they need to thrive.

We hired K9 Unified back in October 2025 when our daughter was born to get some more control of our 3 year old rescue dog Finn - 40lb mut . This was the best decision we ever made! From having control in the house and on walks was huge for us! Dan made this training a breeze for us and so helpful. He was extremely professional and passionate about the job he has. Anyone that I talk to who has a dog I always recommend K9 Unified. 5 months later and our dog is still doing exactly what Dan trained us to do! You just have to stay ontop of it which is a no brainer for someone who loves their dog.

Dan is a fantastic dog trainer! My dog was constantly pulling on the leash and was reactive to other dogs when we were on walks. After 4 sessions he no longer pulls and his reactivity has greatly improved. I’m no longer stressed during walks with him, and I cannot thank Dan enough for that! Highly recommend.

We found K9 Unified after working with an another trainer and getting nowhere. Boo was reactive and it was stressful thinking she may never change. Since working with Dan, she’s a whole new dog. It’s amazing to see her transformation. One of the best decisions we’ve ever made. I highly recommend Dan and K9 Unified.

Our family adopted a dog that really struggled with anxiety and dog reactivity. She was good in the house but trying to go for a walk was a terrible experience for all. Dan and his team at K9 Unified helped us get everything back on a positive track. The whole team was great to work with and did an excellent job of teaching the humans what to do and the technique needed to be successful. Most importantly, our Nova loved it there. The structure and direction made her a much happier dog. I highly recommend the K9 Unified team, whether you're struggling with behavior issues or just want a strong foundation for obedience.
