K9 Reset

We sent our 1-year-old golden retriever, Hobbs, to K9 Reset for a board and train, and couldn’t be happier with the experience! We were super nervous about leaving him, but Rich was fantastic from the start—he kept in constant contact, sharing updates, videos, and photos that made us feel completely at ease. Hobbs is strong, full of energy, and we needed help teaching him how to harness it in a positive way. Thanks to Rich, we’ve made huge progress—especially with leash walking—and we finally feel like we have the tools to succeed. What really sets Rich apart is that even after the program ended, he’s continued to be available for questions and support. Training a puppy is definitely a continuous process, but K9 Reset gave us the foundation we needed. We highly recommend Rich to anyone looking for real results and a trainer who truly cares!

Rich did an amazing job getting my puppy on the correct track as he matures through puppyhood. I adopted Derby when he was 4months old and had him with Rich for prong collar training within a month. We followed that up with ecollar training and then the board and train. Derby was already a really good pup but he is a confident dog who would tune me out from time to time. Very energetic and not quite sure of himself which would lead to subtle reactivity to many stimulants throughout the day. Good on some basic commands but I needed help to address general puppy issues. I knew Rich was the trainer I wanted to go with after reading all the reviews and speaking with him. He truly cares about the dogs and the owners. Lets be real, without following up daily and continuing to grind through training yourself, you just wasted your money and failed your dog. Derby has made insane strides from off leash hikes in the Whites to general off leash play at parks/beaches. This is a dog that was born at a rescue and fostered by someone who did absolutely nothing with him. He never had a collar or leash on until I picked him up in western Kentucky in August. I grinded to get him to where he was and Rich got him over the hump. He is an amazing dog and much of the credit goes to Rich for his work with Derby. Stop researching and choose Rich!

My experience with K9 Reset is similar to many of the reviews already shared here...Rich, his knowledge, and training enabled my partner and I to keep our pup within our care when an unexpected life event caused us to move. Our dog, Brady, previous to meeting Rich was unpredictable and caused alarm for our now current landlord. Without any training or change on our end Brady would not be able to continue living with us. With no other housing options we reached out to Rich at K9 Reset. Rich was amazing to fit us in so urgently and after our first meeting we left with the confidence and understanding that we were on the right track. Fast forward a month and a couple key lifestyle changes on our end our landlord now asks to have Brady visit her. We are able to take calm walks with confidence that Brady will trust in us to lead him where we are going. We are now able to feel comfortable with him around family, friends, and other animals. We now get compliments from strangers and family who knew him previous about his behavior on walks and in public. Fast forward a couple months later we are now able to enjoy the beach (during dog friendly season) without a leash and know that Brady will look to us for direction. Pretty long story short; if you are having trouble, anywhere minor to major, with a canine relationship or know of someone who could use a helping hand Rich at K9 Reset would be the place to go. He truly gets to know and remember the dogs under his care and finds what will work for each one of our pups silly quirks. This will also require some work on our human end, some of the biggest results came from us changing routines with our interactions in public and our home. Consistency is key! When I restate that Rich is a lifesaver I mean it, without his assistance I would not have been able to recieve the daily love from Brady that I do to this day in our new home with a now, Brady loving landlord. We took our dog Mishka to Rich for help with separation anxiety, aggression and just not listening in general. We met with Rich two times and then dropped Mishka off with him for the full training week. Getting her back, we immediately noticed she was more relaxed, affectionate and obedient. The biggest change however was in our relationship with Mishka. Rich stressed this big time in our meetings and it truly makes a huge difference. He has provided us with the necessary tools and knowledge to continue training Mishka and we are super grateful for this. He is an amazing teacher (for both dogs and humans) and the results of his training are night and day. Would highly recommend Rich to anyone in need of dog help!!
