K9 Obedience Training

I was very happy with the training my dog received from Larry at K9 Obedience. Larry is very knowledgeable about dogs and tailored my nervous puppy’s training to her personality. He was patient with her and with me, he never pushed her beyond her comfort level, he made sure she had breaks during her lessons, he gave great advice, and my puppy made great progress. We came in with a list of goals and questions and he made sure we left with techniques and answers for everything on our list.

What a difference! We had begun to think we just weren't the right family for our Shetland Sheepdog, PEANUT. Then we met Larry at K9 Obedience Training and everything changed. Larry listened to everything we told him about ourselves, our Sheltie and the craziness we were experiencing with this very high energy dog. The day after our first training session, we saw a difference. Each week's session brought more information, knowledge and progress, for both us and Peanut. Larry made many suggestions and allowed us to make decisions. We never felt pushed to do things or make changes, but it was clear Larry knew what he was talking about and we let him lead us to success. Each week's instructions and exercises came with in-depth information about why it works and what to expect. About five weeks into training, we decided to use a pinch collar to further our progress. Larry showed us how to use it PROPERLY, fit the collar to our dog and demonstrated it. This was a game a changer, and never again will I give side-eye to another pet parent whose pooch is sporting pinch collar bling. K9 Obedience Training isn't just for big scary dogs! Although Larry's experience training Police Dogs is extensive and impressive (and you'll hear some really cool stories!), he's got skills and talent to suit any dog, any breed, any size, including our nine-pound furball Peanut. We will be back for another round of training after we spend some time reinforcing and building on what we learned. Thank you, Larry!
